Which one do you think is better? I have no opinion seeing how I haven't played inFamous yet, but Crackdown is awesome.

I'm gonna pick inFamous. I didn't really like either game... but at least inFamous doesn't make me feel like I'm playing with an Xbox or PS2.
Crackdown = Waay more fun. In infamous, all you did was run around and get sniped in a city of apparently the greatest shots in the world. You walk out of one corner even for a second, and get shot by a million guys a couple buildings away, its enemies were absolutely NO fun to fight
there should be an option to vote for Prototype, that one was my favorite of them all
*curses exclusives getting ignored on system wars.*
Anyways I guess Ill have to go with Crackdown, I did like infamous but crackdown edges it out a tiny bit imo.
From what I know about InFamous, I don't see how it can be better than Crackdown. I have an interest in picking the game up and playing through it again... and I have no interest in InFamous.

Prototype was a failure for me. Sure, great fun to play, but only for the first couple of days. The gameplay just wasn't intuitive at all. More like a load of quick time events hidden away. Infamous for me, although i wish it was polished up more before release.Yea, crackdown is ok (just played it, thinking about selling it) but i think InFamous was the better game overall it was fun jumping around buildings and climbing that big skyscraper, but that was it for me. I think the main reason why people bought it was for the Halo 3 beta when it came out. Infamous seemed to offer more[QUOTE="-Patrick_92-"]
Infamous
Crackdown was a decent $60 gateway to the Halo 3 beta :P

don't get me wrong I think both games are fun, I just like Infamous a bit more
Crackdown has co-op and is more fun to mess around in as you can do so instantly instead of slowly unlocking powers. Also overtaking cars on the freeway and roundhousekicking them into the sea never gets old. But Infamous is more of a proper "game". It has a story. It has structure. It has more pull. More interesting universe.
I don't know. It's a toughie. But I think I'm gonna go with Crackdown.
So basically another PS3 vs 360 thread??.......................:roll:navyguy21I wouldn't say that (but it does look like it due to the TC not having played one of the games YET stating a thread vsing them), i used to own a 360 (well 4 of em :D) but now own a PS3 and have played both games, i would gladly take Crackdown over inFamous any day, Crackdown for me was just brilliant and i just didn't find inFamous as enjoyable.

Crackdown was terrible.

I didn't like it. Everything felt cheap to me, like the bullet bars for enemies health. The ai was bad, I found myself wailing on some enemies and they would just run around in circles instead of fighting back properly. The open world felt badly designed with places not easily accessible. I also didn't like the cheesy comic book ****of the game.Bigboi500
Crackdown. I haven't played enough of infamous to say I really enjoyed it. I'll give it another go... maybe I was just playing at a wrong time or something. Crackdown has agility orbs. AG orbs own everything.waynehead895
I think he was comparing just the games not the price tag...if they both came out at the same time which one would you pickif you have $10 crackdown, if you have $60 infamous

I've never played Crackdown, but my friend says its horrible. and inFamous is Great in all aspects, so I don't see how crackdown could possibly be better. And inFamous scores 1.5-2 points(of 10) better on all the big review scources.
I've played both and I don't see how anyone could like Crackdown better. inFamous is basically Crackdown with substance. It's like if you took Crackdown and made the characters interesting and give it a great story then you get inFAMOUS. I will give Crackdown credit for being the first non-super hero "Super Hero" game of this gen. It paved the way for games like inFAMOUS and Prototype, however inFAMOUS easily surpasses it. inFAMOUS also has a higher review average and if you look at the big reviewers (Gamespot, IGN, 1up), it did noticeably better with them. From what I know about InFamous, I don't see how it can be better than Crackdown. I have an interest in picking the game up and playing through it again... and I have no interest in InFamous.

crackdown, definately for me, its such an incredibly fun game, being able to pick up cars and throw them around, jump buildings, fun stuff really i know prototype has that kind of stuff but crackdown doesnt take itself as seriously as prototype
Getting sniped from 2 buildings away actually happened to me quite often in Crackdown except this time with assault rifles and rocket launchers!!! I have yet to get a ps3 so i haven't played Infamous yet but I highly doubt that problem was as bad as it was in Crackdown.Crackdown = Waay more fun. Crackdown was a quickly thrown together excuse to pay 60 dollars for halo 3 beta........maybe i'll give the second a try because its actually going be a game that has to stand on its 2 legs......because with a incentive like playing halo 3 early.....you could sell bags full of **** for that price and peeps still buy it.
edit: and excuse me for my bad grammer im tired....thanks
I have both.
Crackdown: On a technical level its well done. Gameplay is good butgets repetetive really fast. Game lacks story and the world/sandbox/city whatever you want to call it, has some design flaws and could have been better. Driving in this game isnt that fun.
Infamous: Looks good and has a very nice overall design. Story is good and the gameplay is very varied and fun. Different actions/choices in the game ads replay value. Overall the better game IMO,mainly because of the better story and thebetter gameplay.(And by looking at GS scores)

I could have guessed from your avatar and sig, you liked infamous more. I feel if infamous wasn't a more polished sandbox game with 2 years of looking back at Crackdown, it would have been a failure. Also, why people bought Crackdown was never a part of this thread. Cows bring up the Halo 3 beta as a negative. The game was great, imo. I didn't play the beta.- graphic : infamous is better
- gameplay : crackdown is better...in crackdown you can kill the enemy by melee, by pistol/machinegun/sniper rifle, even you can blast them by rocket launcher, hit them with the car, even you can throw them a car...for going to your destination you 4 options : take a walk, by car, by swimming, even by climbing the building
overall : i choose crackdown

I didn't play the beta. my sig only has an inFamous look to it because it is the last game I got a trophy for. it will auto update with a background of what trophy you get last...my opinion was solely based on my experiences with both games, they were both fun, i just preferred inFamous more it seemed like buying inFamous and getting the Uncharted 2 beta was a bonus, not buy Halo 3 beta and get Crackdown as a bonus. Halo 3 beta is not a negative by any means, I enjoyed playing Halo online earlier than when it was released, just at the time because halo was so popular people didn't even really care about Crackdown, except for the achievements and the beta included with the gameCrackdown was a blast! I used to play co-op with my Brother in-law, I really got a laugh from coming outa nowhere at him & harpooning him to the front ofsome random car then, stealing the car & speeding down the street while he's still attached to my bumper! & all this time p*ssing my pants laughing at him over XBL! I havent played inFamous yet, (really want too) so just saying, "Crackdown wins!" would be so.. fan-boy i guess, based on that alone. I'll hold my opinion until I actually have played it. ;)
