An annoyance as i was really enjoying the game. Here's to hoping Microsoft will find it within them to replace it free of charge as it was the 360 which cracked it.

???, Has this ever happened to anyone else?  I have heard of other types of damage caused by the drive but never cracking the disk.

That is quite the damage. You sure you didn't move your 360 while it was running?

It sits in the same place and i never move it. It's wierd, as i use wireless controllers and don't have a sub woofer or anything in the vacinity. It's just of great annoyance that this has happened as i was really getting into the game properly online and getting pretty good.

360s aren't to be trusted.

Just phoned M$ and they told me they wouldn't refund the disc unless they could take the console in for a check. Now i have to pay for Gears to be sorted out and wait for my 360 to come back. So ridiculously annoying.

Ah well, it should all be sorted out in the next few weeks. I just wish more people realised that just because their Xbox hasn't caused problems yet, others can do things like this. I'm not negligent, i just have a problem.

I'm in the UK which doesn't support the new Warranty changes as we already had a year from the outset.

If that is a new copy of the game. Return it or call the support number on the back. There is a 90 day warranty on all game discs.

Contact Epic, and you should be able to get a new disc for like $5-10. You will ned Proof of Purchase though.

Same thing happened to my brother's Saint's Row disc.  Its weird because he takes really good care of his games.
