And the older gameplay trailers had the game running at 60fps and 4K.

Hope a patch will come out. Otherwise I hope it comes out on PC.

  • 1080p/30 fps on the PS4 vs 1440p/30fps on the PS4 Pro
  • Slightly better Ambient Occlusion the PS4 Pro
  • Slightly higher resolution shadows on the PS4 Pro
  • Game obviously looks miles better than the original
  • Overall feel and atmosphere remain intact

I'm pretty sure they always said it was going to be 30 due to wanting the game to feel like it did back on PS1.

It's not like they couldn't get a simple game like this to run at 60 if they wanted.

To be fair, this is a remake, not a remaster. Everything is brand new and modern.

I don't get why the programmers just didn't press the 'Make 60 FPS' button on there game making machine. I know I would of done lulz!

They should have given us the choice. 60fps for a platformer is much better than 30fps.

I know. I just don't think it matters for a game like Crash Bandicoot. It's not that demanding. I can understand Pro owners and future X1X owners wanting 4K but 30 fps won't make or break that type of game imo

Oh............Tales is 4k/60fps. Hopefully there is a patch for Crash.

I don't expect a patch. They've had access to the pro this whole time.

This visually doesn't look as good as the Ratchet and clank remake. It doesn't look bad but im curious why it looks far behind a remake with similar styles.

Not enough power on X for native 4k.... 40% GPU boost isn't enough to go from 1440p to 2160p.

A Pro games needs to be 1800p for X to have a chance at native 4k.

Disappointing the trailers were at 4k60 and the game is 1440p30. That's a pretty significant downgrade.

Yeah, but if you are going to bring up Lucky's tale then you might as well also address the graphical difference between these two games it's not as cut and dry as 4k/60fps and call it a day.

This is Super Lucky's Tale looks like

I'm betting even xbox360 could run Super Lucy's Tale at 1080p. It doesn't look like a very demanding game graphically and has virtually no effects, textures or impressive graphical assets for a system to deal with so it would be a shock if xbox one X wouldn't pull off 4k/60.

Crash remake on the other hand has a lot of visible graphical effects add to the overall presentation. I personally don't want to play either of these games but I think visuals also matter when speaking on the resolution a game is pushing. Tetris at 4k isn't really going to blow anyone away so just putting out numbers when talking about games graphics doesn't always work.

hopefully it comes to Pc since its coming to xbox. so we can play at 60fps.

the original games control horribly imo..... but this remake seems to make the game more noob friendly. hell...i'd buy it on PC.

After spending some quality times with N. Sane Trilogy this morning, I do agree 60fps would've made this better but I don't really mind It that much. Sometimes the originals didn't even feel 30fps, Hell, I'm just happy to play this series again from PS1 after all these years, it's a fresh memory lane for me that is.

Only the first trailer was 60fps. All the others were 30fps but Youtube's video conversion was 60fps. Which is weird because usually game companies don't do that although uploading at 60fps has the benefit of higher bit-rate thus higher image quality and less compression. That's why DF always uploads at 60fps even if the games they are showing are 30fps.
