discuss :DIve never played Shogun, only Rome and Medieval II, and Empire is one of my most hyped games for next year. Instead of doing Shogun II as a full game, it could just be an expansion for Empire.
It will be interesting to see where they take Total War after Empire, will they take it into WWI and WWII and modern era warfare?

If there is a Shogun II, I sure hope it isn't an expansion to Empire: Total War. That time period will be too much of a change for it to even resemble it's predecessor. If my memory serves correct, Medieval II was developed by a different studio under the Creative Assembly name. The studio that made Medieval II could create Shogun II, while the one that's creating Empire could take the series to a new time period. WWI seems like a good time period, as trench warfare could be a good gameplay mechanic.

i dont think i have seen a game that has tried trench warfare, in a full extent that total war would pull out anyway. i would love to see how that would turn outThey don't seem to be so creative since they have kept sticking to the same series for the past decade.Devour2Survivebecause its awesome? i dont see anyone being creative seeing its nothing but sequals and rehashes

The majority disagrees with you. Medieval 2 is better then Rome I think.
