If you don't want to spoil your kids fine, but even if I had his morals (I don't) I would have kept it. Rainy day, what if your wife or someone in your family has some rare illness, not covered by insurance, that costs millions of dollars? Ooops.

I would have kept it, and doled it to charity slowly and steadily.
