Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster announced

Coming to current gen consoles and PC supposedly in 2024. Being remastered by original developer, Argonaut games. They shut down in 2004 and reopened earlier this year.

The lead artist, Scott Butler, on the original game is back as a consultant for the remaster.

This was the first ps1 game I played as a kid.

Nostalgia, it wasnt the best platformer, but I got love for it. Same with Glover on N64

Did they use the same level geometry? It looks very flat! Spyro had a better treatment.

Croc is coming back! I love that game on PS1 and I did play it on PC as well. Truth be told, Croc 2 was also great, wish they remaster that game as well.

Scott Butler has been taking questions on his social media accounts, I saw he said Croc 2 remaster is not in development right now but could come in the future.

my first ps1 was battle arena toshinden. thought it was good back then but it did not age well. kind of sucked lol.

My brother bought Croc at Target, played a bit of it but hated using the L1 and L2 to rotate the camera.

What Mario could have been if he tried harder.

This one of the most out there remasters I can remember. This series looked dead and buried.

Practically a necessity where I live...

It's to get through toll booths in the reserved lane which is faster and you just slow down and roll through instead of stopping

Just read somewhere that this game was first presented as a Yoshi game for Nintendo, which apparently Miyamoto "loved". Nintendo said no to it anyway, then proceeded to make Super Mario 64 which was very similar to this.

The devs changed the character into Croc and released it as their own game.

Croc was fairly low rent back on the PS1. I'm not interested in this nostalgia bait.
