Sega said the same about the PSP.
Did they? They also both have a problem with the games being easy to burn.
With easy to burn you mean being illegally copied or that the disc gets scratched easily because i haven't heard of neither. There was an interview about that in IGN.
Way to easy to copy...I don't want to get myself in touble on here so I will not go into many details...But it not like the systems were you needed a mod chip or something....It just simple and easy for any one to do....That what hurt the 3DO a lot to it that it was way to easy to copy games also... Any system that it is easy to copy games on normally don't last, problems like these have plaged the PC gaming from before you were born and me
PC and PSone games were illegally copied like crazy, most of the people i knew with psone had illegal games, mostly from Japan,i ignore where they get them.In fact that almost kill PC gaming until systems like City of heroes arrive so everyone must had a legal copy.
Anyway in the PSP i never heard of someone with a illegal copy,i knew there was something called PSPblender and some services like that but out of that i haven't heard anything about PSP games piracy.
Â
Wow... then you haven't been around for the last 2 years. Ever heard of home****? or down******? millions of PSP users have custom FW and pirate PSP games. And you don't even need a mod chip; it's just as simple as downloading a PSP game off the 'net.
No in fact this the first time i hear of it,i have heard of people with custom PSP that run HB but never actual pirate PSP games.
Â
There's a reason why so many people want custom FW; most of them want to pirate. It's as simple as ripping the ISO from the UMD and putting it on the net. Sad, but true.Â
That must be why PSP software sales are so low.I will keep buying my games legal tho'.I mean is not like i cant afford them.
