Cryengine 3 or Frostbite 2?

Seen as they are touted as the 2 best looking engines most of the time. Other people will prefer different engines I know that. But Crysis and BF3 are always being talked about as THE best looking games. Also they both have some of the best lightinh in any game. And I also know the original crysis is cryengine 2 etc. etc. but let's just vote yes? I don't want to get into debates about the little things.

So what which do you think is better? Also take into account what each engine is actually capable of and not just from C2 and BF3.

Frostbite 2 has some pop in and texture loading issues, but without a big Cryengine 3 to compare it to I can't definitively say its better. For all I know, Cryengine 3 has even worse issues.

Engines can't look good, games that use them can look good. ;)

Cryengine 3 is capable of producing better looking games. I was really underwhelmed from all the hype BF3 generated. TBH the caspian border is the only thing that really made me go "WOW".

That said, we're comparing mod to vanilla here, who knows what a modder could do with FB2 if DICE ever allowed it to be moddable.

Haven't really seen Frostbite 2's flexibility yet. It's been show on NFS the RUN which means it may be pretty good, but for now CryEngine 3 has proven a better engine, though BF3 looks better than Crysis 2

Unreal > Both.

Either/Or, both are great engines. Although hopefully they get better platforms to showcase their stuff on than the PS3 and 360, PC version of BF3 was so much better than the console versions.
