I love how the article you posted says "Probably not" after "Will CryEngine 3 run better on PS3" but you left that out so you could turn this into a topic where Cows pat themselves on the back. Well, here's some actual truth:
"So did he say that the PlayStation 3 will run CryENGINE 3 better? The quotation is not that clear, but I personally feel that what Yerli is saying is that the engine will adapt to each platform, where the PS3 will perform better here, the Xbox 360 there, and the PC...well, everywhere else."
These CryENGINE 3 threads are getting out of hand. Are cows really this insecure about their system?

He said it would process better that means nothing as what's holding the PS3 back is lack of RAMmarkop2003Both consoles have 512 mb in total. So far, the PS3 version looks better. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2320/vlc2009032523112585.gif So much for PS3 blurring everything.

Difference is that 360's memory is shared whereas PS3's is split down the middle at the 256 mb mark. Allocating Ram on the PS3 is difficult due to this. Makes for a bottleneck on the PS3. Don't really feel like going into too much detail and i'm studying for a college test atm so i'll let someone else explain if you want further explanation.

What's interesting is that Yerli seems to imply that on the surface each platform will create a similar looking game even if the underlying performance differs.
Come on everybody lets learn to read here. The engine will adapt to each systems strengths and compensate. The PC will still be the best platform anyway.
I think CryEngine 3 looks like crap for consoles.
How ever If I had to pick one it would be 360 version with superior lighting and shadows.
I don't think the tech demo was impressive at all. Except for the lighting with the palm trees and the forest.
Interesting to see Sony's own Phyre Engine goes unnoticed while people fight over the console optimized Cryengine 3.

Still will run better on PC. Thread fails.

Exactly - it's like comparing two watered down beers when you can get the pure lager.
Again, just watch the vid from sec 36 to 42. Bottom left theres a corridor or water on both versions.....theres a big ownage there. If you find it you'll get my point :P
PAL360
i have the HD version of the presentation and i saw what you are talking about. the water on the ps3 version is flat whereas the 360 version has spurts of water shooting out the way a waterfall is suppose to. the 360 seems to have a slight graphical advantage in terms of lights and textures but is noticeably better in terms of shadows. the ps3 version runs smoother but has AA issues, as in it doesn't have AA.
lolz I see it, looks bad on the ps3 but good on the 360Again, just watch the vid from sec 36 to 42. Bottom left theres a corridor or water on both versions.....theres a big ownage there. If you find it you'll get my point :P

I'm sure there are a variety of differences I have missed in the comparison video, some arguably just being different rather than worse/better like a difference in lighting colour.
The only bit that really stands out for me is 360 lighting effects were soft while PS3's were hard edged.

I'd say it's because CryEngine 3 gives the fake sense of "Oh! Take that Hermits! Consoles CAN run Crysis!" which is what consolites have been waiting for since late 2007.
.. that and I haven't seen anything in the Phyre engine that is all that great.

Wait, i thought the consolites thought Crysis has "mediocre gameplay"?Fanboys always bash a game that's not on their system .. but when it comes they're attitude changes real quick.
But, either way, "mediocre gameplay" has nothing to do with graphics. I'm referring to how just about everyone and their mother thought Crysis could run great on consoles back in 2007... but as you can see it can't.

all i can tell is that the people at crytek are magicians with working on engines. :o How much do you want to bet that the difference will be small as heck that only Fboys will care.?http://www.gamezine.co.uk/news/game-types/shooter/cryengine-3-run-better-on-ps3--$1283169.htm

Capcom has made games that are practically identical yet fanboys will still argue. I bet you that if you take two identical consoles (like two Xbox360s or two PS3s) and put PS3 on one and Xbox360 on the other and play the same game (ie Resident Evil 5), fanboys will still find a way to nitpick the game to death.
