How come the sequal to crysis looks worse then the first game?
Its really strange given the time difference.
Can anyone figure out a reason?
its really weirde!

(>x.X)Q-(^.-Q).. were you trying to do kirbies? ifso, they came out funky (>^.^)(>O.O)>
Or.. what else could they be?
Based on how much PC gamers focus on graphics and resolution, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't actually play games but rather just screencap games at the highest settings possible, brag about it on a forum, and then move on to the next game.Mrmccormo
Wtf, racist. I think that's just an excuse from having to play games on 5+ years outdated hardware :D
Wow ain't exactly pretty (not that I play it anymore), but It was what I played for the majority of years since this gen of consoles... And Mass Effect really lacks any options to make it prettier, just higher resolution...

Totally. I've spent 300+ hours on TF2 just to take pictures.

Yeah....I tried to make them look like I was looking to the Left and then to the Right.
it failed.

Of course that's all we do!
In fact I took these screenshots just a few days ago.
And I'm already playing The Witcher now! Soon I'll have enough screenshots of The Witcher to be satisfied before I move onto the next game in my library.

With all this Crysis 2 whining I thought bad looking PC games only existed if they were on consoles too, obviously not.
Seriously I'd like to know what consoles or console gamers did to ''hold back'' this particular PC game because obviously the PC can do better. Lazy dev's? Low budget? Probably, but when the game is also appearing on consoles its always the consoles fault
This is a general rant to all elitist hermits on teh internetz not specially you Raymundo :)
It doesn't. The indoor and urban environments of Crysis 1 were bad looking, infact, the weakest part. Crysis 2 wins in that. Crysis 2 also has the same looking, if not better foliage, so no.ocstew
I always thought the indoor environments of Crysis/Warhead were some of the best looking in the game, they weren't the most entertaining to play through but they looked awesome.

Bad looking and the weakest considering how great everything else looked, but still great. Crysis 2 undoubtedly looks better and has more detail indoors. It doesn't. Oh come on, you know that the first pic is modded Crysis. If you gave time for Crysis 2 to be modded, it would look way better.ocstewI dont think it has texture mods.

Oh I played the demo on gamer and it looks nothing like that 360 pic you posted there. Make a point but don't be misleading about it, the textures are great on the PC version, obviously on par with the Crysis 1 textures. Comparing modded Crysis 1 on max to the 360 version... Not cool

Because Crysis 1 has been modded beyond recognition? This is vanilla Crysis 1:
1080p 8xAA:
Crysis 2 DX9 settings from an glitchy leaked beta with locked graphic settings and vanilla state:
Crysis 2 has MUCH better arts.tyle, enviroments and character models (especially the animations) imo:

yeah teh animations are great. I shot a dude in the knee and he fell to the ground clutching at it. Very cool to see in realtime.

Definitely, Crysis had this awkward and rigid ragdoll with no death animations whatsoever.[QUOTE="call_of_duty_10"]The hedges are low res:? Not really, they're just dark. Well, here's a screenshot from the demo. You can compare it to crysis 1 and clearly see that it has worse foliage.
I have to go now.
Crysis' graphics aren't as great as most try to make them out to be, but for the time they were amazing.
However, Crysis 2's graphics are a diamond a dozen, console games(Killzone 3) seriously look about the same or even better than the PC version.

Yeah, but apparently, the way they flop around like a fish made out of cardboard in Crysis 1 is far more impressive. :P You mean something like this?
