Crysis 2 - Multiplayer Downgrade?

Ive noticed that the multiplayer for Crysis 2 has been downgraded from large maps and battlefield sty.le gameplay to a more CoD experience.

is this a good or a bad thing? Do you wish they would have improved upon the original?

I think Crysis 2 is looking great. It has a perfect Dark/Halo/CoD arcadey feel to it, but it has more modes than just death match, and plenty of team tactics and such. Now playing it on consoles will suck, but lucky for me I am playing on PC :P.

Are you forgetting the buggy mess Crysis 1 was? Not only back in 2007 our framerates were garbage, the netcode was horrible. Let's also not forget the stupidly overpowered vehicles, the rampent hacking, and the campfest that powerstruggle turned into.

Overall it felt like a complete waste of time and potential. Even the basic shooting mechanics didn't feel right.

To be honest, any change from that is an upgrade. At least this looks to keep me entertained for a few hours.

I will come back after the damn demo has finished downloading (stupid 360 won't stay connected to Xbox Live).

Crysis 2 is a bloody mess...slow heavy gameplay mixed with controller lag and bad texture popins...game feels like torture just playing it. These guys didn't learn from Killzone 2 did they...gsus! soapandbubbles

Then expalin to me why Cryteck had to re-launch the mulitplayer in the form of Crysis wars? The original was just that bad.

Just played a couple of rounds on the 360, it's pretty bland. Though sounds as if MP in the first game was pretty horrible, I didn't even bother touching the MP in Crysis 1.

People must really suck at this game, because it DOES NOT take long to kill people. a few bullets is all. It is perfect IMO, and I HATE hardcore mode. When it only takes 1 or 2 bullets from a gun it makes some guns obsolete and such, and it becomes a CoD twitch match without aiming.

arena/esport FPS games (halo, CoD, quake) will always be better and more fun than gigantic battlefield ones. absolutely an upgrade.

snipering is impossible...it takes 200 bullets to kill one person.

ummm, then why am I taking faces with snipe and 1sking with the standard assult rifle from across the map? idk, maybe all that halo tought me how to aim.

literally one headshot with any gun is a kill I think. 2ez.

Pfft...this is the same guy that said Crysis's MP mode had noone on it because it was PC exclusive :P. PC has better online communities that last much longer than consoles, and BC2 is fine.

you misunderstood me mate, i meant that hermits showing love for Crysis MP is because its PC exclusive

From the little i played its pretty bad, hit dection is worthless. The players move to quick for the map size.

Unless i see some major improvements as i play more, homefront here i come.
