Good to hear. also, i agree with what he said about Cryengine 2. It's very well optimized considering Crysis on medium looks better than any other game out right now.

As a graphic designer I would not hesitate to state that Crysis #1 has the most sophisticated and appealing graphics of any game on the planet. now grant it that it lacked in its storyline and the multi player aspect of the game is the reason that the game was a flop profit wise and those aliens ruined the single player. Over all the game was stunning to look at and 50% of it was a blast to play. I hope Crytek has learned a lesson on multi player FPS gaming or #2 will be a real dead fish also..... I have a feeling that no one over at Crytek is a real FPS multi player fan.

i don't like the sound of this, they really havn't shown off CryEngine 3 on PC. so it might be downgraded in terms of scale.
CryEngine 3 is technically more impressive than CryEngine 2,and on top of that it adds more features,effects that can work in low specs machines,they even said that the PC version won't be compromised.
Consoles will hold it back propably, even if PC version will look better than C1

Nah, I'm realist:) I couldn't care less about C2's graphics, I'm more concerned for gameplay It will probably be mostly the same. I just hope the areas are as open as C1, it would suck for it all to be as linear than the mothership
I'm sure it will look better than Crysis1, sequels usually do, and I'm sure it will look better on PC, multiplats usually do, and I'm sure console versions will compromise the PC version, they usually do. No news here really. I don't really care for any of that though, not a huge Farcry/Crysis fan, I would actually welcome a bit more linear approach or the very least take it away from those tedious jungles.
it would be refreshing to hear people talk about the awesome gameplay instead of how great it will look like.
the only thing that went for crysis are its visuals since the gameplay was that of a generic shooter IMO.
i'd rather have a crysis 2 that is genre defining in terms of gameplay rather than graphics.

wow really? when i think of a generic shooter i think walking down a corridor and a bunch of enemies run at you. this game had enemies doing their own independent actions, and you could approach them however you want you could sneak past pretty much all combat situations, or you could rambo style it, or be more tactical taking out an enemy at a time with a silencer. this game as far a an fps game goes was very varied in the gameplay department. that's how i saw it anyway. as for crysis 2 whether it will be gimped or not is yet to be seen, i think it would have been much better being pc exclusive, but as long as they make it atleast as good as crysis i don't care.
