Crysis 2 years later. Does it still have the best graphics?

Its been 2 years since Crysis came out. Has any game came close to surpassing Crysis now or anytime soon?

Pfft, no. Nothing even close, really. Uncharted 2 is probably the best looking game to come out since then, but it doesn't outdo Crysis at all for sheer technical graphics.

Neither the PS3 or 360 has the hardware available to max out Crysis.

AND NO KILLZONE 2 AND UNCHARTED 2 DOES NOT beat it.

It's still the king. Uncharted 2 did come close though.

We won't see anything touch it on the home consoles this generation. And by the time we do see something of Crysis quality of consoles, I am sure the PC will have topped Crysis :P

No, UC2 isn't the seocnd best looking game. For exmaple, this is Mirror's Edge (PC).

Nothing has even come close, some may say that uncharted looks just as good, but from a technical standpoint crysis is unrivaled, and probably will be several years from now.

Im pretty sure if you have a quad 3.2 and dual 5970's and some 8GB of ram you should be able to run it pretty steadily

Yeah. That's just something everyone here needs to accept. Crysis destroys every console game out there. Uncharted 2 did not come close either.

it does look better. their optimizations came in the form of a lot of the lighting pushed to post processing.

crysis had the best graphics, still has the best graphics, and will ocntinue to untill maybe RAGE (although i doubt it) and crysis 2 release for the PC.

Uncharted 2 looks nice enough, but Crysis has looks *and* size, thus making it the king.

Crysis is an exception to the industry; it isn't a game that is dethroned, it is a game the industry will catch up with and will ultimately be remembered as a bar raiser.

Honestly I think with Crysis the very high settings are complete over kill, people think the game is badly optimized because they cannot run the OMG future proof settings off the bat. If the high settings with god rays was Crysis at max it would still be considered one of the best looking games out there.

I'm sorry, have you been here these past 2 years? Graphically Crysis is what devs strive for, even amazing games like Uncharted 2 are contested with Crysis despite Crysis coming out when the FIRST Uncharted was out.

Crytek should have secured Crysis 2 as a PC exclusive. Everybody knows that it will be better on the PC. PC has better graphics, better controls; Keyboard & Mouse 8) And playing online is FREE and it might have dedicated servers on it :DBloodSeeker1337

Yes. I have not yet seen a game where I compare the trees with the ones in my neighborhood other than Crysis.

The only game that even comes close from the top of my head is Arma 2.
