Pretty much every other major gaming website is saying the same thing about COD4. Did you miss the presentation at MS's press conference? :|

If Crysis could run smoothly, it would have won. However, right now, it is still not running smoothly. Screenshots will show you its potential glory, which is much better than Call of Duty 4. However, it seems like it's either poorly developed, or it will take the world's most powerful supercomputer to get it to run without the choppies.

I heard that Crysis had frame-rate problems at E3. That's the only valid reason that it didn't win in the graphics category.

Iam kinda glad it didn't, Crysis won best graphics last year at Gamespot, and if you go HERE your see it won ALOT of other awards at E3 2006 from other sites.

It doesn't need the awards this year, its already proven its self as the best looking game out there from a technology standpoint.

Its only fair other games which weren't show last year win the awards this year, and Call of Duty 4 does look damn sweet!

Or the fact that it hasn't gone through thorough optimizations yet due to the fact that it's not close to being done yet.....

There has to be other factors considered, generally how smooth the graphics will be. Or they might be considering the handicap regarding consoles versus PC, either way COD4 really did look amazing at E3.

Hopefully that's not the case, because I want to play this game sooner than later. I was hoping to be playing it by now, already. I don't want to have to wait till '08.

They are still going for a 2007 release date. They're going to take as much time as they need though.
