Crysis, Killzone, FF13, GT5? Here's a clue. 360 fans/owners don't care! Nope.

What can a PS3 offer them?  What about a PC?  A Wii?  Granted, the Wii obviously can only offer them one thing, and that's those amazing Nintendo properties you can't find anywhere else.  While I believe Nintendo has slipped a bit, they still have a chance to prove themselves with their upcoming lineup.  Metroid 3, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, and not much else for awhile.

Where does that leave the 360 owner?  Clearly in the drivers seat, thats where!  They don't worry about how good Killzone has to be.  They don't worry about how Crysis looks.  Most importantly, they have nothing to worry about as far as gameplay is concerned from either of those titles!  They know Halo 3 will rock harder than those 2 games can even dream.

Just be honest with yourself.  Halo 3 will raise the bar for what we expect out of a FPS.  Halo 3 makes everthing else fall into place.  If a 360 owner doesn't like Halo's or Half Life's deep sci-fi nature, then they go with Rainbow Six Vegas, Battlefield Bad Company, Brothers In Arms 3, or Call Of Duty 4.  Maybe they try Bioshock, The Darkness, Kane & Lynch, or Fracture.  I know for sure that the Wii could never match those experiences.  The Wii just doesn't have the power.  Conversely the same cannot be said for the PC.  We all know that Crysis could be ported to the 360, and easily provide that same experience.  It's probably only a matter of time before we see a port anyway, but that's not the point.

While the Wii is unable to push the FPS genre, what about the others.  Should a 360 owner care about Mario Galaxy, with Banjo 3 right around the corner!  360 owners already have Kameo.  What new platformer games can I play on the Wii right now? How about racing, which is another strongsuit for the 360.

The 360 provides the best portfolio now, and will continue to do so.  The 360 owner need not look further than Forza 2, Project Gothem Racing 4, Burnout Paradise, Dirt, and Sega Rally Revo.  Why would a 360 owner even bat an eye at GT5?  As if it even matters.  I don't think GT5 will even match Forza 2, let alone Forza 3.  The 360 owner is ahead of the game with every game!

Lair - Downgraded but still somewhat impressive with amount of enemies on screen for a console game. Even if they look subpar

The thing is, it's not the whole experience for them, and they also lack the best of the best.  Yet how can a PS3 supporter come close.

Virtua Tennis 3 is a good example, because it lacks the online play.  Granted, that could be because of the low installed base at the moment.  Not the full experiance.  Halo 3 represents the best of the best.  No amount of Killzone, Resistance, or any other FPS will match the volume that Halo 3 will bring to the table.  Yet Halo 3 beta gets bashed, when at the same time it's the best multiplayer experience around?!

Almost was the key word, and if the situation was reversed then I'd rather have the PS3.  However, that's not the case.  The 360 will always be ahead this gen with game content, but especially with online content.

I think your post only further proves how you dont need a 360 witha a decent machine. You'll get 90% of the 360's best titles on the PC, and a heck of a lot more new exclusives. No, that would go to some of the PC titles which you've so graciously ignored in this thread. Best on consoles though? Yes, I'll pay that. That'll probably change when UT3 hits though, unless Epic has issues with developing for multiple platforms. After GeoW though, that doesn't seem likely.

Other Features:

Free Online (PSN  & Home) though its not up to the standard of xbox live (yet) its alot less mature and is constantly improving 

Next-Gen format, whether its needed or not for gaming isn't an issue for Ps3 owners

Standard HDD dunno y microsoft cancelled that out of the 360 it worked well for the original xbox, hopefully it does for the Ps3 

Motion sensing, stolen or not stolen, gimmick or not gimmick, the Ps3 has it and developers can make what the will of it!

I could go on but can't be bothered basically...Ps3 owners have nothing to worry about either!

No, that would go to some of the PC titles which you've so graciously ignored in this thread. Best on consoles though? Yes, I'll pay that. That'll probably change when UT3 hits though, unless Epic has issues with developing for multiple platforms. After GeoW though, that doesn't seem likely.

As a 360 owner I care more about PS3+PC games than I do the majority of 360 games.

Lol. Classic. The point is that it's cool if 360 owners are satisfied with their system. PS3 owners are satisfied knowing that we have a better variety of games. Lems are in for another gen of dissapointment. You HAVE to have a Wii with your 360 in order to be satisfied with your game diversity... but then you have to settle for some of them having sub-par graphics. PS3'ers will get to enjoy the best of all worlds on one console if they see fit to b/c the best of every genre is on Sony's system, period.

What lems forget is that most of the games on their fav system that are worth playing are all multiplats... just like last gen. Sony and Ninty still have all the best exclusives.

I mean, how can any game compete with something so obviously superior to every other FPS out there like HL2 and UT2k4 or FEAR or even the excellent timesplitters famed for its fun multiplayer or any of the other excellent FPS games that have graced consoles and pc's alike. I must bow down tot eh king fo shooters and the sequel which will obviously offer more of the same top notch sound FX for their weaponry and more of the same exact, although riveting, gameplay which you have been enjoying for the past 2 years or so since Halo 2's release.

ON a more serious note running around thumping your chest about your system and your singiature game with not only the main character for an avatar but a Spartan name tag do not really earn you much credability on how well the 360 is doing over the PS3. Halo 3 will just be another Halo game just as the next Madden will be jsut another Madden, we know EXACTLY what to expect from teh series. If you enjoy the last ones you will probably like the new ones but what is it really bringing to the table to hook you in with other then a new coat of paint and some balancing.

x360 is pretty good but not soooo amazing that it eclipses the Ps3 especially since Ps3's only been out 2 months now in the UK!

Free Online (PSN  & Home) though its not up to the standard of xbox live (yet) its alot less mature and is constantly improving 

Next-Gen format, whether its needed or not for gaming isn't an issue for Ps3 owners

Standard HDD dunno y microsoft cancelled that out of the 360 it worked well for the original xbox, hopefully it does for the Ps3 

Motion sensing, stolen or not stolen, gimmick or not gimmick, the Ps3 has it and developers can make what the will of it!

 

I could go on but can't be bothered basically...Ps3 owners have nothing to worry about either!

Easy for you to say, because you have both.  I'd be willing to bet that buying that PS3 was a total waste.  You didn't need it.  If you even took the time to look around at the games that were, or are being offered you'd know that.  Since you didn't, your now stuck with a $600 machine that plays the same games you could have had for cheaper.

I'm assuming you mean Halo 2 & 3 because 1 has no online (not that the split-screen isn't any fun, because it is), but anyways, here goes:

Starcraft & Brood Wars

Warcraft 2, 3 and their expansions 

Unreal Tournament 2004

Command & Conquer series

Half-life 1, 2 and the ridiculous amount of official/unofficial mods/expansions (Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Natural Life, Sven Co-op, just to name a few of the big ones)

Total Annihilation (+expansions & mods)

Quake series

Company of Heroes

Diablo 1 & 2 (+expansions)

Those are the ones off the top of my head. Not to mention Halo is on PC, soon to be followed by Halo 2 in less than a week. If you want single-player, I can pull up a bigger list of great games, if you like.

Don't get me wrong here, the Halo series is very good, but to claim it as the best multiplayer ever, let alone completely deny the merits of the PC as a gaming platform (you listed Crysis alone as the PC's gaming achievements) seems pretty silly to me.

The question you should be asking yourself, is what are all the other FPS's bringing to the table????  They don't bring ****!  You know it!  Halo 2 ain't the same as Halo, and Halo 3 won't be the same as either of those.  If you played Halo games you would know this.

First of all, you don't need either console. I can't stress that enough. :lol:

The games that are being offered? So you can tell him what games he'll like and how they're all on the 360? Interesting because the motivation behind buying a console is usually the exclusive games that are available and will eventually be available. 

But hey, it's all down to preference. To be honest, I'd much rather be stuck with a $600 dollar machine that'll play the same games on the 360 but won't commit suicide/go nuclear or destroy the games I'm trying to play. DREs are such a hassle, wouldn't you agree?
