Most of these Crysis shots are newly released to the public, but are from a year old build. Just imagine what they would look like now. :)

Thats the thing about video games, all of the lights and other things like lighting are always over emphasised.

the only problem i can c is, these are only environment shots... add enimies, AI, effects and my pc will cry trying to run the game

That's just insane. I think if grain was added, it might be too difficult to distinguish it from a real life photo.

On closer inspection, I can tell they cut a LOT out. Not to say that those aren't some purty pics, its just apperent how much was cut out.

Nope, they just didn't finish the scenes. As you can see, the one with the ocean shoreline is a snapshot taken from the 2005 E3 demo (not public). It was released publicly in September 05'.

damn that game looks so awesome. sadlyi dont really get into PC gaming. but this is still my pick for GOTY. and i wont even own it. sad world aint it.

Didn't finish? You mean they'll add draw distance, clouds, mountains, brighten up the areas, take out the trees(improve draw).

Yes. I mean, the game does have 16km draw distance now (FarCry was only 1km).Clouds are plenty in new pics, mountains etc.

Crysis may take overall presentation, but STALKER's ambience is AMAZING. I was playing HAMACHI STALKER (Totally legal if I pretend i'm slavic), and it was the best thing I have ever played. The lightening, particle effects, and weather effects made it feel like a live game of hunt the hound. I one time threw my water bottle at my roomate because a cat meowed as I was stalking some swedish dude.
