Crysis vs Fable 2: Teh Graffixx!

This simply didn't get enough attention in the original thread, it needed to be immortalized in its own thread.

PS3 is really behind 360 in hardware, 360 already does better than Crysis graphics in the pre-pre-pre-beta version of Fable 2

Note: This is the screenshot he posted to prove the graphical superiority of Fable 2. Compare these screens, don't make it a debate about "pre-phi-delta-beta-kappa" phase, or "in motion" or whatever. I just want to see if my eyes are truly broken so I can get them replaced.

Actually, this is pretty much exactly why system wars exists. Inane, delusional ranting and arguing over asinine things that nobody actually cares about.

That's what I was thinking. That's just a picture, not an in game graphically environment. Boy, this thread failed miserably. I'm not sure why everyone is so worried about graphics. There are way too many graphic whores in these forums. Graphics don't have to look like real life for them to be good. There are thousands of different styles of graphical pictorials that are pleasing to the eye. People think that if it doesn't look like real life, it isn't any good. :roll: Very dumb.

You missed the whole point of the thread. That's failing miserably.

Comparing a ready game with a 10% ready one, not touched by the art team, and full of placeholders ? Just hold back and we can compare in a year for the FUL Lcomparisson, right now as i said, lighting/shadows/trees look vastly better on Fable 2, and even better in the video

see how as the source of light changes positions...the angle, length, and crispness of the shadows also chages....That does not happen in Fable 2....

and your the one who brought up this comparison....so dont complain.

See the Fable 2 video, shadows change like that too, with the sun, no matter how impossible it might seem to you, because of the "inferior" 360 hardware

Sorry, but that pic looks aboslutely horrible. The rocks and trees in Crysis are on a totally differently level then Fable.

over used bloom doesnt mean the game looks better, whats up with a lot of 360 games and the crazy lighting these days ? i like how they do lighting in new R&C the best, they dont over use it at all its perfect. but a lot of 360 games are using way too much bloomMandingo101

Cows have no hand in this. We have defended Crysis time and again as we have a vested interest in it. The interest being the engine wasn't designed for 1 game..it was designed for multiple games much like the Unreal 3 engine...and to that extent along with PS3 devs being hired...we applaud all things Crysis. :D

yeah i like Crysis too, but what was the point of this thread? Just a bad comparison of 2 unfinished games, nothing more than that. We will know which the better game is when they are released
