Lems expect the 360 to win every year. Many sites not just GS did not choose Crysis for technical graphics.

First off, I'm curious, not angry. I've looked at screens and videos, but I haven't played the game, and I personally don't see how MGS4 wins. Saying it's won elsewhere is also not the point of the thread. Some you obviously see a difference in favor for MGS4 that I don't. I'd just like the differences pointed out.Manly-manly-man

In my opinion Crysis is graphcis king, i play PC and consoles the same, im not a fanboy of either. I think MGS4 is the better game, but Crysis Warhead has the better graphics, anyone who has a nice PC and all the consoles will agree.Only reason Crysis Warhead didnt get the graphics award is because its an expansion.

Might take me awhile to post all my ps1 and ps2 games, but there is my ps3 and MGS4 :P

Have to be pretty sad to have to lie like that, i agree that some people need to relize that when people done have the same opinion as you, it doesnt mean they are a fanboy. I love videogames, period... pc and consoles.

I have some issues with all consoles though this gen. 360 has had faulty hardware, PS3 has had a big lack of RPGS compared to ps1 and ps2 (and im a rpg fiend). Wii not enough games besides mario spin offs. And PC has to much piracy. No console is perfect imo. I wish people would stop throwing the fanboy term out there so often.

Crysis won techincal graphics of 2007, so having a different game win the same award in 2008 is fine with me.

Original poster is right, Crysis Warhead blows MGS4 in graphics out of the water (I own both games). BUT, MGS4 does exceed Crysis in the fluidness in its cutscenes (animation). In that sense, MGS4 does beat Crysis. There is more to graphics than just texture and lighting quality.

i think crysis won last year so it will be stupid that it win again specially if they are the same graphics used in the original crysis.

MGS4 won because its a totally new graphics engine, common everything in MGS4 looks and the most important thing, FEELS super realistic, the things are there even if you cant see it the way snakes push the trigger of any weapon without his finger crossing to the other side of the gun, or when reloading the grenade laucher you can see the grenade inside the weapon, his octocam can adapt every freaking texture you can touch in the game and beside theres no single glitch, its a flawless graphic engine thats why it won and if you have the chance to see the Bonus Blu-Ray disc that came with the Limited edition i suggest you go and watch it and see how much love the team has put in making this game.

These awards are likely bought and paid for, like many a review.... not worth getting upset over. Well, maybe that reviews/awards are paid for is worth being upset over, but not specifically as far as crysis losing...Captain__Tripps

Well, technically, MGS4 or GTA IV running on PS3 hardware is more technically impressive than crysis warhead visuals on a top end gaming PC. munu9

Not true. Have you ever heard of dedicated hardware? Crysis has to be the most optimized game I have ever seen. MGS4 has its share of frame-rate drops

Its crysis warhead an expansion pack that came out 10 months after crysis .How hard is it to comprehend this? Verses a game that had how many years of Dev time and how many millions of dollars spent on it . It should be obvious that this award takes all aspects of development into consideration including hardware limitation's and what Dev's must go through to simulate or fake effect's that the pc can achieve with a library all ready compiled for them. It takes talented artists and lots of optimization to achieve the level of immersion in mgs4 the attention to detail with such limited hardware is rarely seen. If this was all about specs and not what was technically done to immerse the user you wold never EVER see a console game on that list.

Yeah i see what your saying and partly agree, but its just that having both games running next to each other at the same time shows me that Crysis Warhead isjust so much better graphically. I do agree though that what they did with MGS4 is amazing graphically, especially for a console.
