It is indeed, just relaying it to system wars. I'll edit my post to thank you for the find, instead of it simply saying "the original poster". ;)

Who said anything about making it look worse? I wouldn't be surprised if it outclasses the original.

It's meant to look even better on the high end, but more scalability = yes plz.

I don't know if they should go lower than "Low" on Crysis.

Apart from the character and gun models, everything else looked rather crap.

Agreed. I have a great computer and Crysis made my computer look like it's from the Stone Age. Bastard game.

Who said anything about making it look worse? I wouldn't be surprised if it outclasses the original.

Perhaps, Crysis was poorly optimized and full of errors.

Yeah, that's true. Crysis demolished my PC.

Hopefully what they say is true, and they'll do significant optimization for Warhead.

crysis was very well optimized.

They have just come up with new pipelines that do things in a different way with less hardware demands(AKA they are faking certain effects).

Their lighting, physics, AI, and texture pipelines have all been sort of tweaked. They also added new effects.

Just because something is more efficient doesn't mean it will look worse. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky will be much better optimised than the original and looks leagues better.

Considering what the CryEngine 2 is capable of, this statement is laughable. It was extremely well optimised, it only required a super computer to run when it first came out since it was so technologically advanced.

Hope so. I remember the God-Aweful problems I went through when I first played it - didn't help I had Vista either.

It could have been well optimized given how advance the engine is, true..but when you pull up the console you'll see alot of errors.

That comment/improvement is more than expected seeing as the main problems with crysis is specs.

considering the amount of money it takes to play the game properly at high resolutions its a good thing they made it easier on the PC hardware this time around.

these newer optimizations would be well welcomed to me.. my sli 88oo's chugged but at max rez, quality on high, no AA, it's fairly smooth. just hiccups during saves.
