crysis2 cryengine3 comparison xbox360 vs ps3

i saw the cryengin 3 demo that they showed in gdc 09 for both xbox360 and ps3 and i have to say that they almost look the same but the ps3 version look much crisper and a slightly detailed and here is the link for both so u can see the both pictuers

Disgusting. I know they said its a good scaler, but CE3 looks terrible on consoles. This better not effect the good version :evil:clembo1990

and those are the settings most pc players play crysis on anyways, itsnot like all hermits run crysis on maximum settings with 60fps

Speaking as someone who played it on a single 8800GT and a 2006 CPU; most people can play Crysis at medium/high settings.

Anyone who has to hit minimum didn't upgrade this generation, the 7900GT does minimum/medium settings, I should know because that's what I had initially when trying the Crysis demo.

Mine would be to not own any game using this engine on consoles if it looks anything like them pics. They are not bad but yet I have games that are older with better graphics.

I was responding to an accusation on PC settings, if you want to blame anyone for derailing try the person I responded to. Then again on second inspection I may have misread their post, they were probably referring to the console versions.

In regard to which will be better I expect the differences to be so minor it won't matter, both versions will have something better than the other and people will probably spend weeks arguing which is superior.

Erra, wasn't the blurrier 360 version due to the camera moving (motion blur)? >>' Both screenshots are pretty crap quality anyways.

From what I've seen Crisis on the consoles looks worse than a game that came out in 2007... Uncharted looks better to me right now. I guess only time will tell how good this Crrisis game will be on the PS3/360

Why are hermits worried about a graphic change? I worry about the GAMEPLAY Crysis is not Crysis without big open worlds, consoles lack ram and I am stumped on how Crytek will make Crysis 2 for consoles and still keep the open world.

I'm getting it on 360 for the achievements but I'm also getting the PC version for the superior game.

I'll be soo pissed if the consoles botch up the best shooter of 07!

The 360 screenshot was more in motion and had less POV. There is no accurate way to compare them. Either way, the difference between the two is about as noticable as turning one or two options of the minor options in the PC version from Low to Medium.
