Im thinking more of the lines of a 8800GTX now. Maybe a HD2900XT 1Gb. Not sure about those drivers though. And who knows if devs will start doing AA through stream processors.

I guess you can stick with a GTX...even though it wouldn't be that imperative to get given your resolution. A GTS would work fine in your situation. Just don't get the 320MB version.

Right now, I can get a good rig for 1300 for everything, case, harddrive, power supply etc... later in the year, bam, I bet I can score the same for less than 1k. I love technology lol

Everything drops down in value eventually. If you buy a 8800GTX right now, it would last your for 2-3 years, in my opinion. You'd have to game at low resolutions, though as the card ages.

Well it ws either i get the 22 inch version and a GTS or a 20 inch and a GTX. So i took the 20 inch and the GTX. So it will last me long and i can still play games at high resolutions down the road.

It's actually unfair to compare my skills and technology with your's. I'll be playing Crysis in glorious 1900x1200 resolution with a G7 mouse+ G15 keyboard along with Sennheiser HD555 headphones. I have the EDGE!!! :P
