Crysys, the new game coming from Crytek, is touting DX10, which is Vista's Window Graphics Foundation 2.0. So what was up with all the talk of the 360 not being able handle DX10 games, the 360 OS is based off of Windows right? Why wouldn't they be compatible? Why would Microsoft make their new system not compatible with cutting edge pc software? WTF was XNA all about huh?

hondacrx898

actually it is both hardware and software base, DirectX 10 hardware is basically allowing for an whole new generation of graphics power and abbilities, ITs software side is what is going to be implimented into games to take advantage of direct X 10 hardware.
