I guess PS3 might come out with the better looking version of the two.

it can be pretty amazing what they can get out of consoles . crysis is made nor nvidia cards so its not a shock its better on ps3
They likely figured everyone already knows it will look incredible on 360 so no need to reassure it's fan base. :P
"So will consoles be able to hold up? Of course says Crytek, telling PlayStation: The Official Magazine (April 2010 issue) that the game will look "beautiful" on PS3."AAllxxjjnnBeat me to it.
I saw where they had the PC version on top to click to watch, the PS3 version on the left, and 360 version on the right, and a PS3 vs 360 comparison on the top right. The 360 version shown at the exact spot in the game looked so much worse with far less details in the surroundings it was rediculous. The PS3 version will outshine the 360 version worse than any other multi-platform thus far.
He should have told Playstation Magazine that 360 version will look incredible.SaltyMeatballs
Ya, but that would be a lie. I've seen vids of both versions. Hint PS3s >>>360s.
You're trying to hard, stop trolling. thats bs and you know it. They've already come and stated what the two machines were better at in different scenarios, but they would look and perform at a similar clip.I saw where they had the PC version on top to click to watch, the PS3 version on the left, and 360 version on the right, and a PS3 vs 360 comparison on the top right. Crytek speaks the truth, whatever difference between the two console versions would definitely warrant an at the very least 1-point difference in GS score, yessssiree I am keeping a lookout on the graphical differences then the game itself.
*Looks at comment* Hmm ok if that's what you're seeing them ok, they look pretty much the same to me thou-*looks at username* Oh wait nevermind...I saw where they had the PC version on top to click to watch, the PS3 version on the left, and 360 version on the right, and a PS3 vs 360 comparison on the top right. Seriously guys, it's not that expensive for a really good PC (It took me a 1000$ because my PC was around 5-6 years old but if you've been regular, it'd cost roughly 400-700 dollars). Couple that with a 360 controller and a lot of multiplats - and you're good to go. Plus you get a better frame rate, graphics, mods (MODS!!!) and overall a better experience.
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! You've got to be kidding me. Someone tell me he's not serious. We've all seen that video and nobody thought the one looked better than the other.I saw where they had the PC version on top to click to watch, the PS3 version on the left, and 360 version on the right, and a PS3 vs 360 comparison on the top right. This man has a point.Oh man how could they!
Why would a developer only mention playstation while talking to playstation magazine!
It must mean the 360 version is a poopoo sandwhich.

From what i remember Crytek and Crysis has a slight Nvidia bias so that wouldnt be all that suprising...
But from the videos it looked better on the 360...

Show me one in that price range and I'll buy it now. There's no mention of the XBox 360 version at all in that article. So you have no idea how good the XBox 360 version looks. Crytek is talking to a Playstation Magazine, so of course they are going to tell them how great the PS3 version looks. What are they suppose to say, "The PS3 version looks terrible, get the PC version instead?" LOL!! Why do fanboys make threads like this. "So will consoles be able to hold up? Of course says Crytek, telling PlayStation: The Official Magazine (April 2010 issue) that the game will look "beautiful" on PS3."I guess PS3 might come out with the better looking version of the two.

Opinions vary I'm sure. We'll just have to WAIT and see what both games looks like when they are DONE. I'm sure the PC version will look better then both the PS3 and 360 versions.Crytek are cows. That's a serious statement. :P During the development of Crysis 1, they were openly hiring specifically Playstation 3 developers. They've gone out of their way to talk about how great the PS3 is and, on one occasion, talked about how the PS4 will be the "ultimate gaming machine."
Not to imply they hate the 360. We all know that's far from being the case. They just love the PS3 much more openly.

but they already said that they were having a headache with the 360 version, because the cell processor was much easier to work with (in a way that it can do better than the 360 processor)Oh man how could they!

So, when did the absence of mentioning the 360 version to a playstation magazine suddenly become PS3 is the better version... Do you think that if the developer was talking to Microsoft they would boast how it looks on PS3 to them? DUH![QUOTE="Vaasman"]but they already said that they were having a headache with the 360 version, because the cell processor was much easier to work with (in a way that it can do better than the 360 processor)Oh man how could they!

Well thats a complete lie that you just made up.

Show me one in that price range and I'll buy it now.:) If you go to the PC hardware forums here in GS, experienced users can easily get you a pc in that budget. And since you're using a computer, I assume you will re-use the hard disc, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, DVD writer and/or your ATX case. So this will allow the fine folks at PC Hardware discussion forums easily build you a PC in that price range.(400-700)
Or if you can spend approximately 750 dollars, you can get a full PC system (complete with hard disc, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers,PSU, DVD writer and ATX case. Here are the specs. Mind you, I'm no PC expert. Also the prices drastically reduce if you re-use your monitor, speakers etc :
Athlon II X2 245 2.8GHz
Biostar TA785G3
Transcend 4GB DDR3 1333MHz C9
Cooler Master Elite 310
Logitech Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Combo
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB
LG 22x DVD
BenQ G2020HD 20" LCD Monitor
Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W
PowerColour PCS HD5750 1GB GDDR5
Total : 747 dollars.

I can't believe Crysis 2 is getting this much hype when there are two major Rockstar games coming out this year. There's also Alan Wake and Fallout New Vegas. Crysis 2 will be great looking but the gameplay won't be much different than the original. Crytek excels at making game engines but they're not as good as Rockstar or Bethesda when it comes originality or gameplay.
But I suspect a lot of the hype is from insecure pc gamers that want something to hold over console owners. Even when I played exclusively on the pc last gen I never understood the pc elitist mentality. Sure the pc had much better graphics than the ps2 but it missed out on a lot of great exclusives so to me it always seemed like a trade-off.

Yeah, with discounts, i bought my 360 150, a elite, does this mean it's that cheap now?I can't believe Crysis 2 is getting this much hype when there are two major Rockstar games coming out this year. Totally agree with you man. I mean, how is it even possible to have a different opinion than you? I've never seen such a ridiculous idea! They must be elitist fanboys if they disagree with you. Just like this thread, along with all the other Crysis 2 threads, was made by a PC gamer, right?
Just get it on PC. Crysis isn't made for consoles.

If you didnt get the memo *hands memo* teh consoles r ftw!
Amen. They are going to take advantage of the 360s' super powerful, almighty GPU , and triple core CPU, giving it tremedous graphics, and therefore I will not need to where my glasses to play it!!They likely figured everyone already knows it will look incredible on 360 so no need to reassure it's fan base. :P
