you realize that the Crytek PS3 job posting has been up for like 2 years now?

they are porting the engine over to consoles....they have already said this...its not exacly a hard concept to grasp....for most people.

Well I did apply for a job with Team Ico when they were hiring this year. Apparently I don't have the qualifications for the position. Hopefuly, Crytek will feel differently! :Pno_handlebars

Crysis as it is cannot be run on consoles and this job posting has nothing to do with Crysis on consoles (though it could in the long run), it's about developing a version of CryEngine 2 for the PS3. Nothing more.

The engine is running on PS3 and 360, that however is simply in no way proof of Crysis going to consoles. Crytek have got console projects and porting their own engine im guessing is a start

Now, one new bit of info shows that Crytek may indeed be looking to bring Crysis to next-gen consoles...or at least to one next-gen console. A job listing on the company's Web site shows that Crytek is looking for a PlayStation 3 programmer with cross-platform code development experience. Gamespot

Oh wow I meet the requirements... well almost I haven't shipped 1 game(yet).

Im sure that they are just portng the engine and or will are creating a new game for the console, I cannot say that it isnt Crysis simply because developers never give a straight answer when it comes to porting a top selling game because they and we know that the publisher pulls the strings.

Also check out Cobrax rampage over every comment made by the TC... :lol:, ahh man leave it alone dude you know that the TC is just trying to annoy.

I read this article around 2 years from now on Crysis forums.Back then we were all fighting about the same thing but on different forum :D .Its very true and near that the Cryengine 2 will be ported to consoles.Crytek wont be the only one getting left behind but cant really say anything about Crysis.EA is usually hunting for money,so the chances are probably more.

Anyways the article says one interesting thing :

So i guess in the near future,any Cryengine 2 project or maybe EVEN Crysis can finally appear on the Consoles.Would love to see them though because that would save me up from building my next rig.

Anyone else called this happening months ago? Some ill informed console user declaring ownage based on stuff we already knew was happening?

How long ago did Crytek say they were going cross platform? How long ago did they confirm porting the engine for console, give updates based on its progress and then announce finishing it? Yeah real ownage there, we never saw this happening.

After all how could we see CryEngine 2 console development happening? The first console CryEngine 2 game was only announced like " last year ".
