Welp, I guess this means Timesplitters is officially dead. SAGE_OF_FIRE
Never know. Could get an awesome resurrection like Tribes did with Tribes Ascend.

multiplayer was sure fun in TS, but arent we forgetting how solid the SP components were? TS2 is still to this day one of the best FPS singleplayers around.
Dissapointed Crytek you basically wrecked Free radical and sitting on top of an IP with a good following congrats your now MS level douchebag.
CRYTEK MAKE TIMESPLITTERS RIGHT NOW YOU REJECTS!! nobody wants crysis, there's a reason why crysis 2 sold like a sony exclusive, it's because nobody wants it!!!!!!!
Not for this company. BecauseF2P is teh future
BPoole96
they've never been great at multiplayer. AAllxxjjnn
I did once. This was 15 or so years ago, back when such business model was called Shareware :P.Interesting decision. My problem with F2P is that I have yet to see a rich F2P singleplayer game.

Props for remembering the Shareware times ;). I doubt that this is what Crytek and others have in mind though.
I think the console makers are becoming more open to it, as it must be hard to ignore its success. Ascend: New Gods (that hack and slash shown off at MS' E3) is F2P also.Well good luck supporting that on the consoles.

Crytek bassicaly saved Free Radical from going bancrupt :]yeah but this is a prime IP were talking about and considering they are sitting on a surefire hit in tems of TS4 especially in the story department.
TS multi is good but i always loved it for its charming SP and if Crytek are moving to the F2P movement doesnt bode well with me as a fan of the franchise.
Just feels like they bought them for the manpower over anything else despite there being an amazing IP there, similar to how MS and Rare ips..I dont care if they saved them what im more bothered about is how over the past 3 years of ownership they have done Jack siet with Crytek UK appart from the Crysis 2 MP and homefront 2.....
yeah but this is a prime IP were talking about and considering they are sitting on a surefire hit in tems of TS4 especially in the story department.razgriz_101Seems like publishers disagree.
I don't think that's entirely true.
I see them continuing to put out $60 retail games, whether they intend to right now or not.
Also, something something epic.

Something... something... CAIRO!

I think you're seriously overestimating the value of that IP. The IP was never a big seller and after all those years it's worth very little. Homefront 2 is more of a "surefire hit" than TS4 could ever be.yeah but this is a prime IP were talking about and considering they are sitting on a surefire hit in tems of TS4 especially in the story department.

seeing as how they are known for the singleplayer games and game engines I cant see this being a smart move
free2play
pay2pretty (change the look of your character, does not affect gameplay, functions identically to items already in the game) ex: mounts, armor dyes
pay2win (equip your character with items and boosts that affect gameplay) ex: gear, drop rate boost, exp boost
not surprising you cannot make money on the pc unless...
1.you make facebook games.
2.you release it on steam only with its constant on drm.
3.go f2p so its server based and its almost impossible to pirate.

Prove this assertion.

Or ignore me, which is your usual "go to" choice when I respond to your asinine statements.
Their games were also on consoles so they haven´t been making money with the console market as they expected apparently, but that you like to forget.not surprising you cannot make money on the pc unless...
