It said "minimum" not "maximum" all of you need a lesson in English, and you need to read the article, you people are just...wow... "From my perspective, I do not understand the public's concerns that the Wii U is weaker than the PS3 and 360. That I cannot see. From my perspective the Wii U is minimum as powerful as the Xbox 360."

None of Nintendo's franchises require hardware upgrades. metroid (the fps's not the side scrollers) , F zero, Zelda, Lugi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. All of those games would benifit from better graphics. Not they may not be shooters or have fancy cars like forza/halo/gears but it doesn't have to be a super cinimatic, over-the-top-action-game to benifit and show off a systems power.

One has to be mentall handicapped to NOT be able to outperform an 6 year old console machine. Not 'slightly better', but 6 Years WORTH better.
I don't think Wii:U would be the big leap. 720 and PS4 and new PC gaming engines WILL. Ahh but i just said it wouldn't be weaker not that it would be better, or WAY better. You sir, are trying to put words in my mouth
Crytekhas announced that a respected developer is currently creating a Wii U game which utilises the company?s CryEngine 3. Crytek says that it will be showing the unannounced Wii U game soon. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerlialso revealed that Wii Uhandles CryEngine 3 beautifully.

Whats sad, that Wii:U is being compared to 6 year old machines, when it should be heaps better.
So far, Unreal 4 engine and such make Wii:U somewhat old. thats because no one knows **** about it and only have a couple of games to go by, that were.. ported or nintendo's colorful games. Got to give it some time.
Is he sure? Because last time I heard it didn't have "as many shaders" from credible "anonymous" sources...
It's games also don't look any better than Wii games in HD so maybe it's just a Wii 1.5...

Do you realise if it was a "Wii 1.5" that means it would be 50% more powerful than the Wii? So you're saying these, at minimum, Xbox 360 level visuals would require only 50% extra power from the Wii? Now you can see why Wii 1.5 doesn't begin to fit. Even if the Wii U literally has the same CPU/GPU/RAM/VRAM as Xbox 360 it would still be a Wii 10.0 or something if we're going by how much more powerful it is than the Wii. But thankfully all rumors point towards the Wii U being about 2-3 times more powerful than 360 so it'll be a Wii 16.5 or something lol.
