Come on guys, you know a hype thread was coming but for this game, this truly deserves its very own hype thread. 7 years of wait, will it be worth it? It is CDPR's latest AAA game since Witcher 3. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it but I strongly suggest toning your expectations down. And I don't say this because I think Cyberpunk 2077 will be a disappointing game but because "hype" almost always leads to unrealistic expectations about any game, just keep it in mind.

Please note, the RTX 3060Ti just launch and wasn't giving an update for CP2077 specs but being closer to RTX 3070 is obvious.

For my prediction score, I'll go with a 9/10 & Metascore 90, though I would not be surprised if it cracked 90+ just like Witcher 3 did.

If there isn't a Jill Stingray cameo in the game it's a 0/10 for me and it's going in the garbage.

I’m very hyped for this game indeed, can’t wait to get it. I’m predicting a 10/10 here with a Metacritic of 92.

I'm excited for it. I just wish I was able to get a 3080/3090. I will be slumming it on a RTX 2080Ti I guess. "RT High" for me... :(

Definitely excited, hard to believe its finally releasing after so many years of waiting.

I decided to take next friday off to play it, though it unlocks here on Wednesday at 4pm apparently.

I believe that the reach of this game will exceed its grasp, that is to say, a lot of people will buy it based on hype without really realizing the type of game it is. the marketing makes it seem pretty fast paced and action oriented but I believe it will be more talking to people and investigative type stuff.

You know what's amazing? Its not that this game is coming out in under a week, but that its not delayed yet again.

Oh well. Y'all will be long done with the game when i am just be getting in and enjoying the hell out of it in a few months.

Think it will be a 9 for me. I'm going to try to run it on my creaky old GTX 970, but I might hold off on a full play-through until I get the RTX 3070.

Looking forward to it, I don't think it will live up to the ridiculous expectations, but I think it will be an extremely solid and enjoyable experience. Looking forward to it.

Probably will pick it up. Just not like a Jesus level game for me, expect a good time, but nothing earth shattering.

As for Doom, nah. I love classic Doom. I love new Doom. But for entirely different reasons, not really the same types of games. New Doom wears a Doom skin, about it.

It's always interesting when a game as hyped as this launches. Either everyone's going to love it and it's a great game, or it flops and people go crazy. I hope it's the former, but either way it makes for great entertainment.

That said I can get a 3090 right now as they are in stock in the UK... But I am waiting for the 3080 Ti and if I get a 3090 I know I will be kicking my self when the 3080 Ti comes out with 20GB RAM and the same performance for £400-500 less.

Looking forward to it. Might get it at a later time, though. Hope it's good.

I'm keeping my expectations low. That way if it gets that coveted 95 on metacritic, it will be a nice surprise. Plus I'm in no rush to get it. Will probably wait for PS5 version with 3d audio and adaptive trigger support 🙂

Typo on my end lol. Its been 7 years since CDPR announcement but they didn't started development on it after the very last Witcher 3 expansion.

Pre-download on PC (Steam, EGS, GoG ect) starts on Dec 7th.

The possibilities of CP2077 will be very interesting no doubt.

Remember to keep those expectations low or you'll regret it. If your not careful, history will repeat itself as it did to others who were hype for a game they hardly follow from start to finish.

So far, word on the streets the RTX 3080Ti with 20GB ($999) could launch around Jan 2021 and if that's true, the RX 6900 XT will be dead in a matter of seconds. I didn't think there was going to be a 3060Ti despite the rumors were hyping it but if that's the case for 3080Ti, it's certainly worth the wait and I'm hoping everyone focus on that as I can snag myself 3070 or 3060Ti which ever comes first.

I'm pretty hyped. I'm guessing a 9/10, but some spots for games might give it an 8 depending on the reviewer.

I do think some people are in for a world of disappointment - having hyped this up in their minds as the second coming. It's definitely going to have flaws that annoy anyone who plays it. It's an open world but also story driven RPG. There's always some level of jank and design tension with those sort of games.

But super stoked. One of the most interesting big releases for me in a long time based on the theme and artistry alone

cdpr first step outside the medieval-esq fantasy setting and into a futuristic setting...it will be monumental!

Cool, I just pre-ordered since the Xbox Rewards gave a 10% rebate on it so now I just have to wait until the 10th, nice when games are pre-installed. I wonder if this includes the launch patch or if they are still working on that.

@davillain-: lots of games on XB1 or Series S|X install at only 100MB before they are ready to go, that's what my CP2077 installation sat at when I pre-ordered it. That's what many games that sit on GamePass also do when you install them before their release update kicks in. My guess is there still might be day one patches to come after.

Just checked the installation info on my Series X and right now it pre-installed at 59.5GB, figure that has higher quality textures for the XB1X version. The 43.5GB is probably size of base XB1 version.

9 here and 90%~ at Metacritic. I'm really hoping the game holds up well after all this hype. Just waiting on 3 more parts until I can play.
