No way in hell does the game deserve a low score like that.http://www.gamecritics.com/brad-gallaway/dragon-age-ii-review

Aside from the sometimes funny quips between characters while you walk, there is nothing redeeming about this game unless you enjoy Twilight fanfiction.tagyhag
I mean that logic is just so solid:roll:
THe only thing that annoyed me inDA2 is the utter lack of dungion designs. I saw the same cave and mansions god knows how many times.
Nonsense.
DA2 might not be among Bioware's best game, but 25% is insulting and outrageous. It's a solid game but 2.5 suggests it's shovelware or unplayably buggy, and it's most certainly not.
If any other designer had made it as a new series there's no way it gets that score.

You're right, and if you enjoy bad rpg's* :PYeah, from what i've see nand heard, the game is just boring, You're in 1 city the entire game, if not in super repetitive dungeons. Also the characters don't really appeal to me.

Came across this comment on RPS, haven't played the game myself though.
Yes, Tuco, because Origins didn't suffer from the exact same scenery syndrome? Remember those random encounters and how they always seemed to occur in the same place, despite you being on different areas of the map? Remember traveling through Denerim, going into the same house layout over and over again, and fighting random battles in the same courtyard? Remember fighting Darkspawn, bandits, angry bears and whatever else in that same little road along a large wall and some trees?Yeah, you don't, and neither does a large majority of people. I do, because I decided to play through Origins one more time a few weeks before DA2 was about to hit.
It recycled content only slightly less than DA2. Only slightly less. BUT OMG ORIGINS WAS AWESOME BEST GAME EVER, DA2 IS UTTER **** BECAUSE INTERNET SAYS SO! Whatever. First game had faults, second game had faults. I've played better games than both, but that does not mean they are automatically **** I've just played better games. That is all.

There are some repeat areas in DAO but its just a few. As this said it was the random fights you had were all in the same place. Heres the thing though DA2 took it to the extreme. All the map layouts to mansions not including yours were the same exact layout same goes for the caves. It was the same map drawing nothing different at all and with the extreme amount of cave diving in this game its anoying. Deep roads, mage tower, redcliff castle, the forest, the other caves/ruins,the dwarf kingdom, landsmeet castle all have a different look. Im not blindly bashing DA2 I enjoyed the game alot but the repeptitive dungions were just way to much.
Yeah, from what i've see nand heard, the game is just boring, You're in 1 city the entire game, if not in super repetitive dungeons. Also the characters don't really appeal to me.

You can thank their writers for that.
"Yes! This! You guys have no idea how cute Merrill is. I work here and and I still squee when she says things I haven't heard.
There's a lot of this in the writer pit:
Merrill (in-game): (something unbelievably cute)
Sheryl: GIGGLESQUEE!!!!! SO CUTE!!!
Mary: Hee hee.
Sheryl: She's so adorable I love her and want to hug her omgIcan'tbelievehowadorablesheisCAN-I-NOM-HER-HEAD?!
Mary: ... No."
These are ACTUAL QUOTES from the head writers of Dragon Age 2. It's like JRPG writing in here, next thing you know they'll be saying "Kawaii!!!"
This guy has lost all credibility as a reviewer. He should retire. This is merely a play to get attention.

To each his own dude, I just try to hold my RPG's to very high standards, it has jaded me a little. :P
I've said it before here and I'll say it again. They made the elves into wannabe-Anime people. But skinnier. And worse dressed.Let's make that a 6Really? I realise people are still butthurt but wow.. there is no reason for it to get anything less than a 7.

How is it a good review to you when they went way below your projected score value? Numbers are pretty arbitrary. The guy had some pretty good points. He did underscore it though. 2.5 is **** I wouldn't even give farcry 2 a 2.5 and I hate that game.
Good review. Now if only sites like Gamespot and IGN would have the guts to give the game the 6 or so it deserves, then maybe Bioware would start to listen.

Except maybe Fable 2.
And APB, but that was more like a -1 than a 2.5.
What is wrong with Bioware adopting anime styles to DA? Just about everything looked better in DA2 than DAO.
This guy is an idiot, he is ME2's lowest score as well.texasgoldrushME2 has probably the worst plot amongst all Bioware games.
This guy is an idiot, he is ME2's lowest score as well.shane_orijaME2 has probably the worst plot amongst all Bioware games.This. It doesn't even really have a plot.
Also a 2.5 is definitely an exaggerated bad score. I'd give DA2 a 7. If it was the first game in the series I probably would have rated it higher, but I absolutely loved Origins. But yeah this is at least partly an attention grab. All the same I suppose if it shows up on metacritic it at least helps to counter the bloated scores.

Actually the plot was human abductions and a reaper scheme to make
Giant hilarious looking terminator reaper
Yeah it wasn't a very good second installment plot. Good characters, well written and fun though.

Origins is sickening overrated....its an 8/10 game at best. The main story is bad. The plot of ME2 is getting a team together and ready for a tough mission, that is the plot. Your crewmates fate is by far the most important aspect of the story, now that Cerebrus is a confirmed enemy in ME3.I really enjoyed Dragon Age 2 and find that review laughable. It wasn't perfect but seriously giving it a score that is essentially lower then games like "wii dare" is a joke. My only issue with DA2 was the ridiculous repeating dungeons and some weak side quests. The combat, visuals, charcters and plot were all great imo.
C'mon.
DA2 is inferior and dumded down compared to the original, that pretty much is proven. But i don't understand how the reviewers opinion can be so hatefull in giving it a 2.5/10.
It has a fanbase, a lot of people like it, if it were that bad the vast majority would not like it, taste may be subjective, but most of the times humans don't enjoy playing with trash, and this game isn't trash.
Hey that girl has the same on her wrists as I do. You see those bumps on the outside of her wrist? Nobody else here has them and I wonder why I do. People at kungfu were complaining about them constantly as they rather hurt them when their arms slide along mine. It feels like bone, so I think the bones are just larger?Personally i loved DA2.
The only real flaw was level design.

The repetition in the side-quest locales was shocking. Especially considering they managed to sort this very problem out in Mass Effect 2. The reviewer was right about that Varric one-man army fight though. I was like 'lol wtf' whilst people were exploding.THe only thing that annoyed me inDA2 is the utter lack of dungion designs.
