So I finally get my 360 back from loan to my brother , I plug it up and get ready for some Gears online to find my another of the 50 thousand xbl required updates. And guess what ! This ##### freezes halfway through and when I go to cycle the system I get 3 of the damn red lights of death .
WTF :? ... many of you might not realize but I've had this problem before my original 360's HDD was actually corrupted and I had to wait a week for M$ to send me a new one. They also gave me a free copy of PGR3 which I took to Walmart and exchanged for a $49.97 gift card that got me DOA4 and I took the old HDD and traded that into ebgames which got me $50 and a 12 month XBL pass , but thats besides the point really.
This royally sucks. I'm gonna keep ######## at them until I get a free copy of Viva Pinata or Gears .
Just great, Sony makes a overpriced POS, Nintendo makes a overclocked gamecube, and M$ releases a system that makes the other 2 look like crap but apparently spent 5% effort on making sure the product doesnt fall apart, infact their updates break the system . :lol:

OMFG ok so after 30 mins on the phone they keep telling me its a Hardware error and I'm like no #### sherlock I know that .
The lady wants me to pay $130 for them to fix it So I'm like WTF , how about no . She says she have to put her supervisor on He says he going to contact higher people and get it fixed for free but its going to be a week before he calls me back
so I check the 360 forum and the guys say there 3 lights me hardware failure due to likely the CPU or GPU comming off the motherboard
so I unplug everything and start shaking my 360 , and sure nuff I hear a little rattling
So I just had a wild idea to lay it down flat instead of Vertical how I usually play and guess what
no red lights , it works fine

Hell my PS2 works perfectly and I have had my PS2 slim since 3 months after its release. M$ makes crappy products and their game support sucks. Rehashed FPS games and some mediocre RPG's like Blue Dragon are not going to sell the abysmal piece of garbage that the 360 is.

Well, I know at least a few people who have had their 360 break, but they still love the Xbox360 and continue to get new ones. Its a good console I guess, but the thing is very sensitive.

I bought one of the little ones, but I gave it to my sister. yeah my PS1 is technically broken but i make it work by putting it upside down, I got tape to hold the laser in place, and i gotta tape down the lid...Thats wat i call dedication :D

I also remember having to put a book onto of the PS1 to keep the lid from opening and the disc stopping. My PS2 from launch lasted me over a year before crapping out on me. Disc Read Errors sucked so bad back then. . . Heck I've even had a HP laptop that went POS on me (before I bought my macbook). And *gasp* I had my 30g 5G Ipod break less than 3 months in!!! Yet I've had a 360 since last March, still going strong. I guess it must mean that Apple, HP, Sony all make "shoddy" products because sometimes they break.
Red Lights of Death..they should post a paper by the 360 to tell people to be aware of it.If the new verson of the 360 continues to have that problem..i will never purchase one....ps3 is expensive but you gettin a great deal with it..the wii only have the wii remote ..

Go away troll. Updates dont break your 360. Microsoft doesnt send out free games, PGR3 is old and you wouldnt get $50 trade in...
