[QUOTE="mythrol"]Because the control scheme is the same it's a rip off? It looks like it tells a completely different story, from a completely new angle. That would be like saying Borderlands is a rip off of MW2 because it has the same control scheme.roddollente
how would you know when you're a lemming? you havent played any God of War game i presume?
like i said, it's a TOTAL rip-off. where can you see another third-person action game that has controls like God of War, in the 5 years of its existence? NOWHERE. i can forgive the Square is light attacks, Triangle is the heavy attacks. but to roll with the right analog stick? and the fixed camera angle? those are all in God of War. you can search all you want but you wont find a similar game with similar controls. and not jsut the controls. the overall game.
like when you kill enemies they give you orbs where you can upgrade your attacks. aaaand, when an enemy is down you press a button to do an animation that'll rip the enemy's limbs. also, you gain your health and mana, not from chests, but from fountains. and gues where the setting is? Hell. oh yeah. it just reeks of God of War. the set pieces and everything. the Scythe was totally the Blades. like how both of them make giants swings and can extend with chains or what-have-yous. totally. the only thing that differs from GoW is that when an enemy is weaken you can either Absolve or Punish them, but it is totally like inFamous. lulz.
i've had high expectations for this game 'cause it's coming from Visceral who made Dead Space, which is far from a clone. it was totally original with everything. but then you got this. wtf.
Judging by the demo, DI is better than DS in both the story and gameplay department.
