In my mind there have only been two souls games.

Just replaying through DS2 on PC. One of my top games of last gen. Possibly top three. Looking forward to this one. Please don't change much.

The only thing they could add for this game to be alive for the years to come (if its their last Souls game, that would be important) is crossplay between all three platforms. But its sadly not happening. Sad to see that there's no graphical improvements from BB but i wasn't expecting much from FROMSOFT anyways. This and ME4 are my most anticipated titles of 2015.

I hear ya man. To be fair though, I think most Souls fans can admit fatigue is kicking in. Shit, at least Nintendo spaces out releases from their big IPs. These Souls games have been on rapid fire.

I'll almost definitely enjoy the hell out of this game, but the excitement isn't there at all.

That's been less of an excuse to me, they have spaced out releases, and still come away with samey shit. At least the other dev the turn around time is pretty difficult, the **** is Nintendo's excuse? Allergy to actually being good?

Nope, sorry, Nintendo is the bestest. Give other devs a 20 year cycle and they still couldn't manage something as refreshing, original, and downright masterfully executed as the exalted Skyward Sword.

I know it man. For the amount of time Nintendo puts behind their big name titles, you would expect more out of them. They always nail the polish, they usually nail much of the design, but often times you end up with something safe and samey.

My only point was that with their spacing, I still find myself anxious to see the next main Mario or Zelda, even all these years later. When it's typically a one-off per gen, it leaves some room for anticipation.

Souls? It's almost a given that I'll dig it, but I'm finding it hard to get excited. After this one comes out, I don't think I could take another two entries at this pace.

Plus Nintendo makes their games significantly different feeling/looking as well, and gets them running at 60fps not just eh, this is 30fps right? Well have some patches mate

Not saying Nintendo are paragons of creativity though.

Needs some AA at the very least will inject ultra quality smaa into it although by the time i comes out I will have a PC that could probably downsample it from 4K to 1080p and still maintain 60fps at all times without dropping any graphics settings.
