I just tried to watch a Shadow run trailer and was denied due to ESRB ratings...

So I figured it was a fluke and tried to watch a video from Gears and lo and behold I can't.

I'm not too worried about it because I turn 17 this month but still, I own over 300 PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, 360, and Wii titles with at least 45% being rated mature...( Yes I'm spoiled). It's dang kids like those punks in Milwaukee who beat up homeless men and then blame it on videogames who ruin things for everyone... I can understand protecting children but that should be up to the parents who know the child who should judge what they watch, play, and read.

Darn politicians and lawyers (I'm looking at you Thompson) blame wild kids on videogames when in fact it's bad parenting. So let me get this straight Lieberman, I'm mature enough to read Erich Remarque's All Quiet On the Western Front at 15 yet I'm not mature enough to play Metal Gear Solid 3 a game with a truly epic story and about the same if not less violence than Remarque's work. Yeah that's real logical like.

Thanks for listening to my rant,

P.S. I truly respect the work of Mr. Remarque.... and Mr. Kojima.

So... if you are too young to buy them, why not just get your parents to buy them for you?

You are too young. Respect it.

You don't need to be playing video games at your age anyway. Its better when your older because you're doing less important things with your life tan you are whene your a child.

Go hang out with your friends or something.

There is a way you can watch that video: either search for it on youtube or logout and lie about your age.

I understand where your coming from, but you seem to be alienating games as a useless form of media. Would it be better if I owned hundreds of DVD's? Why can I not watch trailers for mature rated videogames yet I can see trailers for movies rated R?

My parents do buy them for me, what I was trying to point out however is that people don't respect games as a media.
