David Reeves (SCEE CEO): 12 Announcements to be made at Leipzig

The second bits of information came from Sony. At the PAL specific press briefing David Reeves said that they had about 12 announcements to make at Leipzig, far more than what made its way out at E3.

Some print media were given a private preview screening of Heavy Rain at E3. The developers (Quantic Dream) were also present at the Sony briefing and while they weren't able to talk about Heavy Rain at E3 outside of the private screening they did hint at more open access to information about the game at GC. I really enjoyed E3 for the amount of games that were on show and the willingness of the developers to talk about their games. The GC's last show in Leipzig however promises to be action packed.

The Leipzig Games Convention is from August 21-24. It's looking more likely now that Heavy Rain is going to blowout there, and maybe, other exclusives shown behind closed doors will also appear there.

i bet there are like 5 small PSN ones, a deley, some new features and a price cu for something. its so vauge they mights as well have said nothing at all. its just to keep the candle of cow faith alive.

12 eh? Awesome news, with Sony's current track record that makes it a lock for at least 3 of the twelve anouncements coming true at some unspecified point in the future.

I swear I keep expecting the Scooby Doo crew to set a trap, jump out and pull the mask off these Sony announcements and say

"why it's old man Sony trying to scare up some business for his amusement park by dressing up like a glowing ghost pirate!!!"

and he'd a got away with it too if not for us meddling kids.

Well, we pretty much know Heavy Rain is a definate. Or at least pretty much a definate. Quantic Dreams is French I believe, and a European showing would make the most sense. And they've already hinted at it.

I think it's also possible we see announcements on maybe Uncharted 2, and maybe a new IP. We'll probably see an exact date for LBP and Killzone 2 as well. And probably a lame announcement on when PSN Cards are going to be available everywhere.

What I'm really hoping Leipzig to be though is a horror show. I mean, Sadness for Wii is going to be there. Heavy Rain for PS3 is going to be there. And there's only one title left to complete the trifecta...
