PS3 could easilly compete with the wii 2 or xbox 720 if sony wanted it to so it could make up alot of ground as the next gen consoles try to get their foothold. and even lets say wii ousell 360 and ps3 by oh say 20 million units number of quality of games could easily be on PS3/360's side if now is any indication of the future

I'll tell you what day I am and not looking forward to at the same time, next gen.
Next gen means the lowest common denominator hardware gets increased, which means the overall quality of games will finally take a jump. But it also means over hype time for consoles, I cannot imagine how chaotic and insane it gets on SW when every single console user has just been fed propaganda by their preferred console company.
We can look back at them now and separate the truth from the BS, but I imagine during the time it is hell.
e3 may be pretty fun (if massive amounts of "ownage" is served between the 3 companies), and if not that then the day next-gen consoles consoles confirmed specs are released. That was very fun for this gens console.
I look forward to Sony and Nintendo living up to their full potential. I want to see the PS3 really pushed and rip out massive game worlds which can otherwise only be done on a PC and no other game console. I want Wii to live to it's potential too, with it's graphic capabilities not over looked (it can do a lot better) and I want interection to really meet the new level wwhich we are al waiting for. Everyone full control or damn close and you feel part of the game like you should. I also look forward to the price of the PS3 going down, lol
