With all the positive coverage this game is getting, I'm looking forward to seeing what finally comes out of this project!

SW Bet: If this game doesn't get at least an 8 on Gamespot and 85 Metacritic, I'll post entirely in emojis for a month.

Please don’t close BEND. I wish they would have done something else thematically so this game wouldn’t have to live in the shadow of TLOU and TLOU2, but it is what it is.

I’m mildly optimistic and will put the meta score at 80.

@sancho_panzer: Honestly don't know, I haven't blocked anybody before. If you really want to know, block someone on your account and then go on gamespot with another browser that you're not logged in on. Compare and contrast!

@ten_pints: The game has changed substantially since we were first shown it. Initial reports were that it was rough around the edges. Now previews are saying it's polished and has a great story although apparently lacking in some gameplay mechanics.

Can't wait to get attacked by a zombie bear.

Personally, I might be a little interested but I can't play this in front of my kids, so it's a no buy.

It'll score okay. Anybody expecting Crackdown 3 level scores are in for a world of butthurt. A lot of animosity from this game comes from Sony daring to create and release decent titles onto the market lately (THOSE ASSHOLES!). Not every game from this gen Sony is good, but there's not much reason this one wouldn't be at least solid.

A good game with interesting gameplay options but with "wonkyness" in the actual execution. Impressive graphics but with slightly amateur animations. A nicely flushed out and dedicated story but an overall generic, "been there done that" plot line.

The biggest plus for Days Gone will be how organic you can approach the gameplay and choosing how to engage the enemies. The biggest negatives will be that the story won't have the motivational pull of other Sony AAA games and the gameplay will not be as tight or satisfying as other Sony AAA games.

7.0 for GS and 70's for MC.

Days Gone will get a fair share of 80's and 90s but I expect more 50s, 60s and 70s.

7.0 isn't a terrible score but with the game's drawbacks it's still respectable. People expecting 8.0's for MC are overly optimistic IMO.

After seeing the improvements made over the last year or do it does interest me. Very pleased to hear the story is in depth with upgrades over the campaign.

I would predict a 7-8. The common theme I am reading is that the gameplay elements all seem familiar and that nothing is new but they are done in a way to keep players coming back to play more. It's an entertaining ride at least.

Yeah this game does look good. Sort of thing I'd want to play with friends though.

After watching lots of vids, I quickly change my mind and will buy it day one as well. Mainly because it's "The Sons of Anarchy" meets "The Walking Dead" in an interesting way how Days Gone is going for and I do in fact love Zombie games after all. At least Days Gone will entertain me until whenever Dying Light 2 comes out.

Edit: I'll go for an 8/10 only because it kinda shares in similarities from The Last of Us and that game got an 8/10.

It's actually almost nothing like TLOU.

It has more in common with FALLOUT!

Change the "freakers" in Days Gone to random monsters, it already has human settlements and attackers, and there you go. Approach Days Gone like a zombie Fallout and you'll have more fun without setting yourself up for disappointment.

Some video games are very valuable but are entirely visual with no words. So my emojis will be the same :P.

I'm looking forward to it. I always wanted to play an open world zombie game but most of them lack polish.

I hope it sells ok ot else Bend may be screwed. It's their first console game in years so hopefully they do ok.

LOL well I did say I'm a fan of The Sons of Anarchy & The Walking Dead and combine them together and you'll get Days Gone between the two TV franchise and plus, I love Zombie games. I'm not hype, but I am looking forward to it day one. (Gotta keep my expectations in check by not getting hype)

I'm hoping it's nothing like Fallout 76 lol. But yeah, I get ya, I wanted to get that comparison from TLOU visual I thought it was going for but Fallout works better how you mention it.

Stevo isn't wrong. Go watch Emoji movie and tell us how you feel about it. It's a reason why it got so much hate and I don't like using them that much either. (I do use them in Social Media such as Twitter)

@XVision84: Rules are rules and there for a reason otherwise may as well just allow for everyone to post in only emojis. I think it would be unwise to make any special exceptions. You’d probably just get flagged numerous times anyway and I doubt that mods would really like to put up with that and try to explain to some people who may not be aware why you are allowed to post in emojis only. Like I said it’s just a horrible bet.
