Days Gone just proves how much Sony was crushing it last gen!

I'm stuck on Spidey Remastered RT Performance mode. This game looks ridiculous. I didn't play it when it released in 2018. It's been in my backlog for 2 years so now I'm swinging away xD

Days Gone is a good game indeed, and yeah, PS4 is a fantastic system. It's actually my favourite Playstation, closely followed by PS1.

shame. would be a nice addition to a ps5 enhanced version, if they decided to do one

I thought Days Gone was really underrated from what I played of it. Dealing with hordes of zombies is a blast.

I am playing through the game on PS5 right now. I am glad that I avoided playing it on my old PS4 Pro. Playing it for the first time at 60fps with rare dips is nice. The game is actually pretty good and the graphics are some of the best I have seen. Very impressive stuff. The game is like a mix of The Last of Us, Dying Light, Mad Max, and FarCry 5. It takes different elements from each of those games and puts them together in a nice package. I wish there was a little more variety with missions/objectives, but it is a solid game. Also, the gas consumption is ridiculous and requires major suspension of disbelief. A full tank of gas will not last more than a few kilometres (if that).

some missions are a bit superfluous. Even deep into the campaign you will sometimes be tasked to do really basic stuff. They should have cut 10h or so, but whatever.

The unique standout feature is the hordes of course, but the game holds that gem for as long as it can.

Still the 5/10 the game received at Gamespot is probably the craziest score I have ever encountered...

@Sushiglutton: Yeah, Kallie Plagge is a shit reviewer. She has too many agendas and stupid criticisms. Shit like... "Deacon is selfish, and it's simply boring that the game is uncritical of him.". Meanwhile, from the opening cut-scene, he puts his injured wife on a chopper and stays behind to save his buddy instead of getting on himself. He then proceeds to do many errands to save him and help others. That seems pretty unselfish to me. Then there is his ridiculous pursuit to keep helping that dumb bitch Lisa. Also, there are characters like Riki who question his motives at times. That seems like the game is being critical of him.

Days gone is the one game I couldn’t finish. It was just boring to me. Glad some liked it but for me it was forgettable.

@BassMan: Her priorities for what makes a game good are not the same as mine, let’s put it that way lol. The point you mention doesn’t make much sense to me either. Just like you say he is not really that selfish and the game criticize him for his drifter life style.

Agreed. I passed on quite a few PS4 games. I’m hoping there are more that play better on PS5 like Days Gone. I have not been disappointed with this game.
