This game had potential to be a decent seller but i bet with this price plan it will hardly move as many units as if it were free to play each month. I won't be buying this now, who else will? And what do you think about the pricing?

if it would be free to play they wouldn't make any money on it. That's how MMOs work and DC Univese pricing is typical for games of this genre.

The only real alternative is switching the whole thing to microtransactions, but that might be risky and propably would result in same ammount of hate (he's got all those cool items because he paid for it in hard cash, while I spent month trying to find them in gameworld? NO FAIR!! ;) )

I will wait to see how good it is before I pay that amount of money and even then it would have to be epic and warrant me giving up my Netflix subscription for it.

For a full priced online only game with a monthly subscription i still think it seems outrageous. i just cant see a monthly subscription based game selling good on a console.

Your view is propably shared by big portion of console gamers, which is why MMOs have so far failed to achieve any success on consoles

It's a MMO so a monthly fee of $14.99 isn't all that surprising at all. It is expensive to keep a MMORPG up and running.

If an MMO doesn't have a monthly fee it's gonna suck hard. If your interested try it, you'll be surprised how easily you pay the fee if the game is good. Happened to me with WOW and I was one of those people that said "I'd NEVER pay a fee for a video game!".

It's understandable the monthly fees but they charge for full price for the game as well. I've seen a few MMORPGs on Steam lately priced at £40 plus a monthly fee. Get lost.

mmo's are the cheapest gaming experence out there if they are good.

when i play a good one it's all i do for a few months so instead of buying $50 to $100 worth of games those few months i instead only spend money on the game plus the $15 a month.

if you don't want to pay for dc online you are in luck, it looks horrible, i was excited about it until i saw the gameplay videos.

Yeah, but this isn't exactly WoW. If you want to charge what WoW charges you have to guarantee you will deliver the same quality that WoW delivers.

You can't just charge a price for no reason other than "Well, they do it too!"

I predict this game will flop because of the price and, as always, the developers will blame WoW and cry about how it is unfair only one MMORPG can be supported at a time.

No MMO will offer what WoW offers at launch in regards to the amount of content. That's just impossible. They can however, offer new experiences, better graphics and the like. As long as it's a good game in it's own right, offers something new to the MMO world, and has enough content to outlast the first couple of months, it will do fine.
