dead communities and games to avoid come the january sales

Just wanted to start a cross format thread for people looking for multiplayer games come the january sales, i once made the mistake of buying the orange box on 360 for team fortress only too find that the community is pretty much dead.if you know a game with a similar problem post it here and i will make a list.

heres what we got so far, if the game has been mentioned several times and i cant confirm it i will add it , if you have info on the contrary send it too me and i will remove the offending game.

I'm assuming this a console only thread, because it's god aweful hard to find games that don't have people still playing them on the PC, even decades after their release. Hell, there are still a boat load ofplayers still playingCrimson Sky (not that terrible sequal,High Road to Revenge) and Tribes 2multiplayer for a minor example.

LOL, I remembertrying to play "Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena" barely two months after it came out and there was nobody online.NOBODY.

Dont believe those who said Uncharted and Killzone 2, their obviously trolling, both games got big number of players everyday and since the holidays is close the number of players been increasing, i have both games and i always play them :).. hmm dont think i have been into a game with dead comunity

He probably is talking about both of the posters above ( the one who said U2 and the other who said KZ2), both of them were lieing as both games have huge number of players online :), probably non of them even own any of the games to know

I was just playing at like 2 and there were still a bunch of people on lol... I disagree I dont think its dead at all.

Are you just retaliating to the KZ2 & UC2 comments? I can't comment on them, but Halo 3 is going strong, & will be until Reach is released, I can't talk about Gears as I stopped playing Gears 2 because of the matchmaking system, & as for ODST, if you are talking about the Halo 3 multiplayer disk, see my Halo 3 comment. As for Firefight, I can't say, I don't play it online.

Its hard for some sony fans to admit but, UC2, KZ2 ,Warhawk,Socom,MGS online all have terrible amounts of poeple playing. All ps3 owners are on call of noobyscottiescott238

There's enough for me to get into a game... on all of them, so I don't see any problem.

UC2, KZ2, and Warhawk still have plenty of players.

And I remember hearing socom has the largest following of gamers on PS3.

For the record, Halo 3 has had 627K unique players in the last 24 hrs.

TF2 on 360 is far from dead, i play it everyday, full 16 player matches. infact my bro is playing it right now and i like it better then the pc version. the search system on TF2 360 is broken so sometimes when you search for games it says no game available but if you keep trying suddenly alot of games pop up. anyways i think kz2 is dead by now probably, i played it long time ago and not many people were playing it back then
