You talk about this like its somehow news. This is like posting that Gears of War 2 has been confirmed. We knew it was coming all along.pundog
It gives you an actually timeline for when its gonna come out yet. I could say theres another zelda in development but it might not come out for 4 years.
Oh goodie!
A sequel to a crappy game that stopped every 5 seconds so it could load yet another lame cutscene.
Whheeee!!!!

Fair enough, but its not like Zelda or Halo or a game where they will rebuild it from the ground up, chances are Capcom is just going to pretty up the graphics and do a new level, maybe a whole town? I'd love to see them get some big time celebrity voiceovers for this, especially with some good cameos.Well... chock up another reason for me to get a 360...foxhound_foxDead Rising is by far my fave 360 game. I think it's a great addicting game.
It's Capcom. It's sequels are confirmed before they even announce them.Panzer_Zwei
Where;s my Powerstone 3 with 16 player online play? :PÂ

I really don't understand the Dead Rising bashers in this thread...
Seriously, if the game doesn't interest you, then fine, you shouldn't care about its sequel, so you really have no business posting in here. I don't understand why any intelligent person would waste minutes of their life posting about something that they hate, just for the sake of letting everyone know how much they don't like it :?

Maybe it wasn't successful. Power Stone didn't even got matching service on the Dreamcast when almost all Capcom fighters did.Makes me very happy :)Â I had this game for ages, and hardly played it because I thought it wasn't that great.
One day I decided to just try it to get achievements, and discovered the genius of the game. Can't wait for the sequel!!
we should start a petition for powerstone 3!!!1111111ONE!!MorisUkunRasikThere already is one.

What? I haven't even beaten the first one yet. BTW, don't expet that 360 exclusivity to last.TyrantDragon55It'll be interesting to see what happens. I don't see it going to the PS3 considering Capcom has all but bailed on it but if DR2 came out on the Wii I think thats a system seller right there.
I didn't hate Dead Rising I just hope for the sequel they make it a little less "hardcore". Its really a game for old school players who like figuring everything out and playing a game over and over so they know how it all works. I just don't have the patience anymore. I wanted to kill zombies, kill more zombies, etc. etc. until I had cleared the whole mall. But it doesn't work like that. They always respawn. JiveT

CAPCOM said that they're persuing a multiplatform strategy from now on so they would be hypocrites not to atleast make it for the PS3.
Wonder if they are gonna beef up the graphics a lot or just work on a new story with new setting and stuff.justforlotr2004

They are only going for potential buyers, Right now the PS3 is lacking in consumers so who knows if they will make it multiplat or not.

I'd love to see it for the ps3 but there always the possiblility of them saying "INSTALL BASE!!!!" so iunno the wii seems like a more likely canidate even though they'd pretty much have to make two different games.Â

I've actually felt somewhat dissapointed with Dead Rising so far. I thought it was just gonna be 3 days of trying to survive in a mall filled with Zombies. But it turns out the game is actually 3 days of you trying to rescue other people that are stuck in a mall full of Zombies.

I smell a rehash of a game that got rediculously boring after about an hour of play. Talk about the lamest idea for a game, just as bad as Snakes on a Plane was to films as Dead Rising is to gaming when you compare them.DSgamer64

Before I had a 360 I played Dead Rising at a friends house, and even then I knew it was great.
After having finished it many times, I have to say that my favourite feature of the game is how instense it gets, since you only have 72 hours of in game time on the mall, and you must rescue survivors plus carry on the storylne, and doing it all in 1 go, is hella intense and satisfying.
It also has RPG elements, you gain levels and moves, and they all get carried to your next game.
Overall, it's a truly great game, and I agree with JiveT that it appeals to old school gamers, even though I hate the term, I was instantly drawn in the game.
wouldn't have been funny by the end of the game you find out umbrella was behind it all, oh capcom you could have made gaming history with that.MorisUkunRasik

[QUOTE="MorisUkunRasik"]I thought it was escape from the zombie filled mall, if it isn't then I will be highly disappointed.Brown52
1 or 2?
1 is an escape form a zombie filled mall.
I dunno what 2 is.Â
Well assuming they don't slack off and rehash it could be an entire city. If they decide just to try and cash in ASAP it'll be an airport or amusement park. Can't really think of anything else big enough for the scope of DR.

*BEGIN SPOILER*
It's not that the whole country is infected by zombies, but the implication is that 7 people scattered around the country may be carrying the virus. So potentially Dead Rising 2 could have you traveling to any one of 7 different locations, or all of them. Capcom has plenty of room to come up with an awesome setting for the second one, so hopefully they won't just choose another mall.

Count me as one of the people who can't wait for Dead Rising 2.
It would be pretty funny to see this not go to the PS3....I would love to see the reaction. In a rational world, it would be of joy that more people could play it and the increased sales would encourage further sequels, or new venues.

Well... chalk up another reason for me to get a 360...foxhound_fox

it will help you get a six pack
