I think it's pretty much expected at this point, Capcom has said that they want to be more of a multiplatform developer this generation.

Despite this being a rumour I am certain that DR2 will be a multiplat title unlike the 1st one.

Aside from that, the first one was a fantastic game. Now, it looks like its a possibility PS3 owners will get to enjoy it as well.

Yeah, that was the part that jumped out at me. I was really excited about this game before I heard that, I only hope that it's either untrue, or that this LA-based developer really knows their stuff, and understands what Dead Rising is about.

Maybe he didn't mention it because it will obviously come out on 360, seeing as the first was a 360 exclusive? It's bigger news to PS3 owners who never got a chance to play the first one. I don't think he was trying to be a fanboy.

My only issue with fanboys is that it's hard for a lot of them to understand opinions that they don't share. For example, explaining to a hermit why I'd rather play an FPS on my 360, explaining to a cow why $50 a year for XBL is worth it in my opinion, explaining to a sheep why I'm frustrated with the lack of games I want to play on the Wii, or, for that matter, explaining to a lemming why the PS3 is worth the money if you're interested in a blu-ray player.

I guess it depends on what you're talking about. I've found it absolutely impossible to talk to a lot of hermits, because they're of the mind that the PC features "better controls, better graphics, and mods", and thus there's no reason to even discuss other systems. And sheep...Well, I agree that lemmings can be extremely annoying, but I don't think outselling the other 2 consoles is enough of a reason to give sheep a free pass. The only thing I'm trying to get at is that all the fanboy groups have specific issues that are extremely frustrating to discuss with them.

But asking for lemmings (or any other fanboys) to stop the ignorance? Heh, good luck with that! ;)

Also I liked Dead Rising 1 aside from its save system and sometimes akward game mechanics, but If capcom isnt developing the sequel then Im not so sure it will really do good.

Dead Rising 2 In Development For PS3 and 360 - don't you dare try and make me think I won't be able to play the sequel to my favourite 360 game, or I will smite thee. Smite thee old school. Word. Yo. Etc.

Hope it turns out alright. If it were up to me i'd make it essentially the same as the first one - dodgy survivor AI and infuriating save system intact. I felt they gave the game its character. I'm a little worried with the "not developed by Capcom" rumours aswell...
