Dead Rising 3 on PS4 would fix...

The jags, bad textures and just bump up the quality while maintaining the OMFG explosive number on screen zombie action....PS4 is more powerful, this isn't the PS3 vs 360.

ahh...2005 when the ps3 was assured to outsell the 360 and Wii within a weeks time when it was released in 2006, it would have 40+ games at launch all of them AAAA, and Final Fantasy 13 and versus were still ps3 exclusives.

Dead Rising 3 on PS4 would mean we'd never see a sequel. Cows don't buy their games. We all know those PS4 preorders are for playing blu rays and watching netflix.

DR3 is exclusive, end of story. Either 1. Buy an Xbox One at some point and play it or 2. Move on.

I can't believe how bad this game is. I think it knocks out Resistance as the most over-rated (critically) game of the generation. I would go beyond just calling it over-rated, so far it's actually one of the worst games I've played all gen. Right there with Terminator Salvation.

I actually thought DR3 looked good, but after playing this it basically destroyed any hype I had at all for DR3.

Well - he is saving himself by not playing Dead Rising from this gen. Assuming DR2: Off the Record is the "most polished" version, it is crap. Before buying it I checked out youtube videos of DR1, and it looks REALLy crap (and outdated). I give DR2 a chance to actually play it and it's worse than I could have imagined even compared to what I saw of DR1. 

Sandbox mode is fun for about 15 minutes, *EVERYTHING* else about the game, and story is garbage. Borderline belongs as one of the worst games of the generation. I'd rather play a low budget Activision or Disney game.

So, really, it's just not your type of game. That's really all you had to say. The original Dead Rising was fantastic. Completely new premise when it came out on the 360. Off the Record was eh...Dead Rising 2 (the actual Dead Rising 2) with Chuck wasn't an amazing game...but it was pretty good.

One of the first and 2nd one's main attractions was the story mode. Trying to save as many as possible and then getting that good enidng without dying along the way. The survivor mode also had you surviving for days at a time and it was a competition of sorts. Guess that was lost on you.

Generally speaking, I always finish games I start - even games I hate. I'm sure I'll eventually finish DR2 (at least to the extent that I bother to complete the main story). But regardless, there's no way this game is going to turn around and be "good" from my perspective. So I'm already fine with offering my opinion on this garbage even without 100% completing it. 

Crafting some super-special uber dild0 weapon is not going to redeem a miserable game for me. Get your mind out of the gutter. The gameplay is trash, it's already obvious the story is trash, the AI is trash. Everything about the game stinks. Don't really care about going around "combining weapons", so if that's the only incentive to keep going then you really haven't refuted anything I've said....

So, really, it's just not your type of game. That's really all you had to say. The original Dead Rising was fantastic. Completely new premise when it came out on the 360. Off the Record was eh...Dead Rising 2 (the actual Dead Rising 2) with Chuck wasn't an amazing game...but it was pretty good.

Trying to transport myself to 2006, and I'm still not seeing it. Granted, when when looking back at a 6 or 7 year old game - not all of them will "age" as well as others. Some games you just have to play in their time, or not at all. Dead Rising 1 might be one of those titles...

However it seems like even you are conceding that the sequel is just "meh" at best, even if you call the 1st game fantastic. So that tells me, DR2 probably is garbage like I said. DR1 might have been fine in it's time, but it seems like not the type of game one wants to go back and play in 2013.
