Two completely different series, but I like Dead Space better. I didn't get into Bioshock and had to force myself to finish it... I almost NEVER have to do that with a game. Pacing was bad and stuff, gameplay ceased to be very much fun. Dead Space games remain fun throughout thanks to their bloody and brutal combat.
both are overrated but bioshock is actually funmems_1224
Bioshock ceased to be fun around the part where the big twist happened. The enemies became too powerful to be much fun to fight.

Even though its my favorite game ever, I agree that after the teist the pacing feels a bit off, but i still loved it:P[QUOTE="mems_1224"]both are overrated but bioshock is actually funturtlethetaffer

You have unlimited respawns and lose nothing upon death. Tough enemies are pretty moot.[QUOTE="turtlethetaffer"][QUOTE="mems_1224"]both are overrated but bioshock is actually funHoolaHoopMan

You have unlimited respawns and lose nothing upon death. Tough enemies are pretty moot. And the big daddies even keep the same lost hp when you are ressed via vita chambers so you can whittle them down slowly if you find them so challenging. Bioshock is a game that rewards creativity, (BEES) but can be broken with a few overpowered abilities like the mind control.Bioshock for me. All though deadspace is cool I really like Bioshock it is one of my favorite series.
Bioshock easily. A much better story, much better setting and characters. Both have good atmosphere though.
Dead Space takes all the worthy elements of Re4 and improve upon them substantially. With a fantastic assortment of enemies and weapons (and a marvelous story on top of that), simply put, if you like to kill, get Dead Space. If you're planning on playing Bioshock, play System Shock 2 instead.
Bioshock is better. One thing I am fairly certain of is Bioshock Infinite will blow all of the other Bioshock and Dead Space games out of the water.
Loved Dead Space, Bioshock is also good but I prefer Dead Space cause I have a weakness for sci-fi stuff.

When it comes to creativity it's simply easy stacking into a weapon and health vials - I played through the later sections with a shotgun and wrench, the game despite scaling was stacked in my favour. It's all due to their bad balancing act and simply not having a good enough enemy variety - or open level design to really mix things up. The second game fixed that side of things quite a bit, especially with the 'defend little sisters' bit.
