This is likely what's going to be synonymous with whatifgaming.com when I hear of them for some time to come...http://whatifgaming.com/gta-iv-for-pc-very-doubtful
I remember when that was posted as "news" LOL Most people didn't take them seriously.
However, maybe they've improved or actually got the above wrong although with honest intentions, because this isn't the first time I've heard of control issues. Still not quite convinced yet that is the case and I'd like to hear more about the PC version, but if it is, the 360 controller is always a plan B option.

Its illegal to connect gamepads and HDTVs to a PC tower....
I'm sure they're blowing it way out proportion. I own DMC4 and RE4 on PC and, according to some, the DMC4 and RE4 PC versions had "bad" controls yet i found the KB/Mouse for those games very natural (I do for all games for the most part however) and they worked perfectly for me. To each his own i guess. Puckhog04
i dunno i hated dmc4 on the keyboard, as well as games like splinter cell, some games jus do not work at all for me on the keyboard.

Like i said, to each his own. They worked perfectly for me. However, I have been a PC gamer for a long time (since 1990 when i started gaming) so playing a game using something other than KB/Mouse is rare for me nowadays. The controls felt good to me. I almost enjoyed certain aspects of it more with a KB/Mouse like the Q and E keys being quick switches for ranged and melee weapons. Felt more natural to me. Splinter Cell titles all worked perfectly on PC (and better). I don't know how anyone could have a problem with that game. The only issue i can think of that someone might have with it is using the mouse scroll to control how fast you're walking/running. Which was very easy to use IMO. Otherwise it was perfect. Even then, everything can be mapped on the KB/Mouse how you want it. Like i said though, to each his own.

Yeah, I'm definitely not taking anyone's word for it quite yet either.
However, what I've read is that with Dead Space it's not so much a problem with control configuration (or if anything, configuration is in addition to), but rather with a tremendous amount of lag and unresponsiveness when using kb+m, perhaps even intentionally coded that way.
If that's true, it's not something I'd even want to become accustomed to, I'd probably choose a gamepad.

the controls problems are caused by v-sync bug, if one turns it off the game plays flawlessly on KB and mousePlease Log In to post.
