Dead Space wii Announced

During Electronic Arts' Q3 2009 earnings call earlier today, boss John Riccitiello mentioned a Wii game we'd previously not heard about. That game was Dead Space Wii.

It's due out later this year, and is part of a plan from EA to bring a more "core" experiece to the Wii. Riccitiello promises that, despite the technical limitations of the console, everything that made the 360/PS3/PC version so creepy will be there on the Wii.

Want to know more? Sorry. Being a one-sentence mention on a conference call, and not a proper product announcement, that's all we've got at the moment.

This game will not be good on the Wii. Well, not to anyone who has played the 360 and PS3 versions. Without the same level of graphics,audio and physics, its going to be a very watered down version. Plus Wii mote for this? I don't know. If they can pull it off, bravo to them.mazdero

Um didn't they also mention it will come out in like early 2010 as well? That's waiting 1.5 years for a game that will probably be inferior to the PC, 360 and PS3 versions, not much of a win for the sheep imo, even it turns out to be just as good as the other ones.St_muscat

Yeah but if by some miracle it is comparable to the other versions then the Sheep get a game that most sheep haven't played.

If they can pull off RE4 off the Wii, then I don't see why Dead Space won't be as great. Sure, there will be some limitations, but if the only gaming console you have is a Wii, then you can't really complain. Dead Space was an awesome game. DethSkematik

He's not saying BS. It's pretty obvious that this Wii version of Dead Space won't be anywhere near as good as the PS3/360/PC version.

No it did not fly over my head. RE4 is a last gen game which I played on my gamecube. The Graphics, audio, and physics in Dead Space FAR exceeds that of RE4. RE also does not allow you to move and shoot. They are not exactly the same kind of game. Wii mote is not better than dual sticks for these games, that is your opinion. It may be your preference, but my preference is dual sticks.
