Dead World trademarked by Dead Island developer

After Deep Silver released a slick teaser trailer, Dead Island jumped into the media spotlight and became one of Techland's best selling games. Games that sell well tend to get sequels, so we won't be too surprised if Dead Island 2 is in the works.

Techland hasn't announced one… yet, but it seems like plans are in the works. The Poland based publisher filed a trademark for Dead World in the U.S., which suggests the zombie outbreak is leaving the island of Banoi. Anyone up for a zombie game set in a bigger world?Siliconera

Dead Island was really amazing. Only bad part, aside from bugs and glitches, were the sewer paths which were absolutely horrid. Hated those so damn much.

An MMO or sequel on an even larger scale would be really nice.

Still deciding which console version of Dead Island to get, heard the PS3 had big framerate problems.tomarlyn

At times there's big framerate drop that last a few seconds and i play on 360 so i assume its an issue that plague both console.

Haven't played it so it was very much an uneducated guess.

Hopefully they get rid of the level scaling.. so stupid.

Hell yes!

Dead Island was loads of fun even with it's problems.

They have a golden concept here but there is alot of room for improvement.

I hope they can nail it with the sequel.

dead island was an awesome zombie game! Had its problems but a blast to play 4 player co-op. Cant wait for dead world.

I gladly welcome a sequel. Dead Island was a extremely fun game but it had many flaws. If the sequel has a better story and they tone down the glitches it could be one hell of a game.

Meh. Dead Island was rubbish

I loved the Island section, but the game went downhill after once I hit the City. The voice acting was also atrocious.
