Dear god BF4 character textures look ugly as sin.

This is just plain awful, the texture res on the guy's outfit is so low even currentgen games sport better, and this is even a main squad mate. Now on hte other hand we have a random Helghast grunt from KZSF that has way higher texture resolution, the texles are simply much higher quality. The power of 8gig GDDR5 in actual gameplay is surely evident.

Please use two images captured under similar conditions and with similar things being rendered about the scene. 

The skin texture on that Helghast helmet looks much more lifelike than BF4's.

So when people bash the NPC graphics on your allies in KZ you defend it with bullshots of your character's behind but it's ok to get a direct feed that still has compression artifacts on an unfinished texture on an unfinished game?

They really need to fix the character textures though, coz it's sticking out like a sore thumb. What happenned? They always screamed that they didn't matter... when it was PC vs console, but now all of a sudden, they are starting threads about textures? Something only a hermit would do a few months ago?

People who try to defend BF4 by saying the screenshots are from a low resolution video are really pathetic. The screens could be from a 480p video or from a 4k video, it still wouldn't change te fact that the texture looks like total crap.

My bet is that the texture didn't load correctly or some problems with the mipmaps and I'm sure it will look better in the final game since this looks like PlayStation 2 and not PlayStation4/PC. Just look at Battlefield 3, it had way better textures, so it's pretty obivous that this is just a bug or something.
