dear god...THEY CAN'T ADD ANOTHER ANOLOG STICK!

why do you people keep suggesting this? it would never work! they can't add more buttons to a re-design because if new games come out that need to use those buttons sony's automatically just screwed over anyone who uses the old model! if from now on all games needed that second anolog stick how are you supposed to play it if you had the old psp?

Yes, thats very true. Companies might not care but something like that might hurt sales more than help them.

Truth be told I might buy that PSP pack this fall, I've never really been interested in getting a PSP but it comes with Daxter, a Family Guy UMD, and a 1GB memory stick for $199, I might have to shell out for it after building my gaming PC.

Getting used to the button configurations on the PSP is really not that hard. First of all, first person shooters on a handheld usually suck. Not the kind of game I want to play on a small screen. While Medal of Honor was fun and all, Rainbow Six Vegas sucked. Grand Theft Auto was easy to get the hang of. Holding down the trigger and using the analog to look while driving may sound hard, but it's really not. I think they should have added a L3/R3 type function to the analog nub personally.

It doesn't need a second anolog stick. If the game has a crappy camera system don't blame it on the PSP blame it on the developer.

It doesn't need a second anolog stick. If the game has a crappy camera system don't blame it on the PSP blame it on the developer.jasonharris48

Oh the PSP needs a second anolog stick terribly. I don't blame the developers because it's harder to create a good camera scheme when you have gimped controls. God let there be a second anolog stick.

Well I agree with you but I wouldve liked to see sony redesign the current analog stick because it sucks.

As a proud owner of a PSP, I agree with you. I was a tad saddened though when I heard that the new PSP would have more RAM.

Damn, maybe N64 emulators will run this time.

Anyhow god of War on PSP lokos to be controlling fine.

But they could put in 2 control schemes, so you can adjust it depending on which version you are playing with

Mario 64 DS is great, the D-pad control is incredibly easy to use. Why does everyone complain about the control scheme? Hell, I liked it more than the N64 control scheme.

Thank you for this. All the "Why didn't they add an analog stick" posts on the redesign are driving me nuts. There was no way they would change the button scheme! Whether for or against a second analog, there was NEVER a chance of it being added in the redesign!
