I didn't mean that it were more clones in SSBB than SSM but that it still had clones, I can easily see now that I wrote that very badly.JLF1

Wave dashing wasn't a control, it was a glitch. Removing a glitch =/= dumbing down. Not to mention there's still plenty of exploitable glitches.

Plus, Yoshi can still wavedash. :P

and I played your SSBB for 10 min and never touched it again, and that's from someone who spent almost 100 hours on the first one. SSBB is at the bottom of the list as far as Wii GOTY goes imo. It did absolutely nothing new and is more of the same. So I'm glad an actual new IP beat it.

No More Heroes rightfully deserved Wii GOTY, and the highly overrated Super Smash Bros. Brawl did not. Congratulations, No More Heroes. majadamus

:lol: Wavedashing was a glitch. Stop reading the QQ on Smash Boards and try playing the Smash Bros. games, maybe you'll actually learn how people play teh game. There aren't any clones in SSBB. Point out to me a pair of clones.

So, do any of you have an actual reason why Brawl shouldn't have beaten NMH?

Most Nintendo fans understand what makes a great game. Broken controls, bad graphics, glitches and bugs, repetitive game, no replay value, and only 10 hours of gameplay do not make a good game. No replay value?I'm probably in the minority here,but I put more hours of playtime into No More Heroes than Brawl.

And the controls aren't broken.Out of all the things people criticize No More Heroes for,the notion that the controls are broken is one that I don't understand.One or two unresponsive gestures aside,the controls worked perfectly fine for me,and the game was perfectly playable.

None of these NMH fangirls have any points to show to me. All they're saying is, "Oh, I barely played Brawl and it sucked because I'm so bad at it and it doesn't play the same as Melee. It's the exact same as Melee only with new characters (this statement contradicts the second, creating massive facepalming for anybody with a brain)." You do know that you just described Zelda: TP? No More Heroes is easily the best game on the Wii in 2008 so please get over the fact that a Nintendo game didn't won. I enjoyed No More Heroes and thought it was a good game, but seriously Wii GOTY? I think Brawl is overrated, but its more deserving than NMH imo.

Also, Brawl is the best looking Wii game out so far. NMH attempts to go for the stylistic cel-shaded look Killer 7 had going on, but it looks awful compared to SSBB. Brawl maintains 60 FPS nearly all the time, whereas NMH can barely keep 40 FPS.princeofshapeir
