I think a lot of people truely don't like it.There are just people who aren't into the majority of the games on Wii. I can understand that. I think the same of the 360.
For a lot of people, including myself, it's simply a matter of not liking what it has to offer. I own a Wii (well my sister does) and the only games that kept me interested were Corruption and Brawl. The Wii just doesn't offer much that I like, where as 360, PS3, and PC offers exactly what I like. I don't think the Wii is poor, it just doesn't offer me anything personally.
I got a wii and really dont like it...To be fair, Ive only picked up LoZTP and SSBB...TP is an awesome game but I wasnt able to finish it...SSBB Has disgusting online play...

It's either ignorance stemming from not knowing what games are available on wii or ignorance stemming from not willing to accept that other people like games that are different than the traditional kill-everything-on-the-screen type of games.

True, I don't see how you can say you don't like it without atleast trying it out for real.

I think that there are a lot of people who don't like the wii's library or are indifferent to the system as a whole, mostly stemming from personal taste, which is reasonable (majority of the sw non sheep). Then there are a few anti-wii fanboys who hate the wii without knowing much about it and start all these wii hate threads. I think that if you consider SW overall, these people are in the minority, but they are so vocal about their wii hate that they seem more numerous than they are. These people are unreasonable. Finally, there are sheep like myself who obviously love the wii and consider it as much fun if not more fun then the other consoles.

This is just a list of what I would like, there are many others.The Wii shines when you have another platform beside it. If you have a PC or PS3 (or both like mii) then you're not missing out on a single multiplat leaving them to battle it out on sheer exclusives. In which case the Wii simply obliterates both, atleast for me.
The Wii has many quality exclusives, and in some cases, superior multi-plats. That's mainly for sports games though I think, such as Tiger Woods.
I do prefer the exclusives on the PS3 over the Wii's lineup, but that's not saying the Wii isn't good. I actually like the Wii exclusives more than the 360 selection. My Wii and PS3 are mainly for exclusives and my 360 is for multi-plats and a few exclusives.
Good thing for Nintendo that hardcore gamers are only a small part of the gaming market. Reflected in the Wii's sales numbers. The Wii has brought alot of new people into video gaming, for that it is a ground breaking system.

What if they only like two games on the Wii. Everyone has their own taste in games. By only like two games on a console does that really make a person ignorant? I think if they don't want to buy a Wii because they don't like the games it's smarter to save the money than waste it. Even if it's not about money, why play a console for two games when you could play another console for ten or so?
I believe that most people on the SW board are on a constant hype train against Wii not matter how amazing some of it's games are and how innovative and fun to play it is.
It's not that I don't like the Wii, just that I expected more from it in the beginning and don't like it AS MUCH as my other systems. Now, if it was my only option, or I didn't have the others, I would still be able to fill ALL my gaming hours with the Wii.

The problem is that there aren't enough amazing games. :( At least with the 360, they flesh out their amazing games with co-op games. co-op makes up for mediocrity, trufax
They really don't like it, and that is fine as long as they have tried it. If they haven't ever even touched one and they say "WEE SUX" then they are just a blind fanboy.
It's not poor though it does need more good game releases. I mostly play PC games anyway to it's as good of a console as any. in fact for me it's the best fit since the wii would be a break from the type of games I can play on pc. great for parties and get togethers too.

The Wii has some great existing and upcoming games, but I still can't get over the fact that it's one big marketing machine. It is, in essence, a Gamecube with a motion control adapter, built-in wi-fi and an added download service all sold at eight times the price. The only reason it worked is because people bought into it.

I have come to the conclusion that people that hate (note i mean hate) the Wii don't really think much of gaming in general being that compared to the other consoles the Wii is not really THAT worse, so you really have to have quite a low view of video games to dislike the Wii so much.
I don't think poor when I think Wii. I actually think purely casual gaming with mass appeal. I think Mothers and Daughters and Grandmothers playing a videogame system for what may be the first time ever. I think finally the barrier has been brought down between generations and technology. The system is not threatning and actually a good deal of fun. I personally have enjoyed more than a few drunken nights with friends on Wii Bowling. I am by no means a fan of the system but I do think it has found its niche and fills it quite nicely.
I don't think the Wii is poor. I've certainly enjoyed it. I do think the PS3 is better at this point though. I wouldn't really call my self a cow or a sheep though, more like a manticore...without the xbox part. What would that be anyway...
