i recently got points took off because i posted in the wrong area

anyway back to the subject at hand i recently collected some news from diffrent sources that indicated

the probable death of sony  here are the facts i collected 1.blue ray not catching on the way they hoped

2.they got rid of the 20 gig hard drve  .3. they are losing the console war to nintendo by 4,000,0000 units

4.they cut around 1,6000 jobs in europe and 5.on the show g4 the feed ticker tape showed that sony is  considering

the possible price cut of the ps3 .

you do realize sony is a lot bigger then that right.....

overall Sony Stocks have been doing very well since the start of the year....

they are a lot bigger then their Consoles......Sony Movies have actually been doing very well recently.

3. nintendo is destroying everyone atm, even 360

4. they cut 160 jobs, not 1,600. this happens alot in big companies

5. how is a price cut a bad thing, get a clue. if sony does a price cut they will sell alot more than 360s. they are selling more ps3s worldwide than 360s worldwide and cost 200 dollars more. want to know what happens when it suddenly costs 100 dollars more? oh wait,it will cost the same amount, not 100 more, because of the elite. lol

check your figures, it was only 160 jobs. people lose thier jobs. it happens.

Price cuts arent a bad thing. in the PS3's Case, if the drop the price even just 20 dollars, suddenly its only 100 dollars more, thanks to the 480 dollar elite

Hmm, lets evaluate this post shall we.

1. Blu Ray is still winning

2. only 10% of consumers that bought the PS3 actually bought the 20gb unit, it was better for them to discontinue it.

3. According to VGChartz (http://vgchartz.com/) Sony's only behind by 3.38mil

4. Your numbers are a little off with this one -_- its 160 jobs.

5. A price drop would hardly kill them, they'd keep losing money, but they would make it back at some point provided the system and software sells well.

I find it funny that so many people are saying that Sony's dead or dying and basing the whole console war off of a console that's been out over a year and 2 other consoles that have been out a few months. 

I hope you realize sony is an international mega corporation with dozens profitable of NON-VIDEO GAME related subsidiaries. :|Darthmatt
